Such a fun place to take the kids! The fountains are almost always on, and the kids enjoy being able to run thru the water while also playing at the park. Sometimes, though, there is barely anything coming from the fountains. I think they either turn on the fountains or the waterfall, but not both. The waterfall is tons of fun, too! Be super careful down there, though, because it’s easy for the kids to get hurt. They close their eyes when going under the water, so it’s easy to run into each other or slip from the wet concrete. There needs to be shade down there because the benches get extremely hot. The playground is absolutely amazing! There’s no shortage of interesting things for the kids! It’s almost a maze, and it works for literally any age. Lots of slides, rope walk, climbers, tunnels, and space to run around. There are a few benches around the outside, but it’s comfortable enough to just sit on the turf because it doesn’t get hot. The swings are great because they’re large enough to fit a few kids at once, and they’re different than other parks. It keeps things interesting! The one complaint I have with this place is that there are several openings built into the playground where the younger kids can get away from their parents. At least one leads directly into the main part of the parking lot. It’s a large area with the playground itself sitting lower than the main area, so it can take a while to run to the other side if the child happens to walk out of the playground and continue into the parking lot. It’s also easy to lose sight of the child if they decide to walk along the lower rock wall where the...

Park was amazing and very well built and constructed. If I had wanted to go to JUST the park, it would be a 5 star visit. I brought my daughter for the playground AND the splash pad. Very hot day and drove 20 min for a park/waterpark for my daughter. Get here and it's closed for an "Event"?. Kinda weird and a bad business practice to operate in such a way. Is it a public water pad or a private one? No notice at all on the events and when it will be closed? Seems like a 50/50 if it will be closed for events or open to public. Kinda weird how u can buy out a public place that has NOBODY in it. 5 kids at the park and the only car's around. No event going on yet closed off for what? Could have saved gas and time and went to OJ instead. Great park but clearly not ran well or with thought's of other's. Didn't know I was in LA where people can just rent out entire parks and stuff like they own the world. Terrible business but great park. Just false...

I walk around the path at this park frequently as I live nearby. I will let other speak about the two main pavilions, but they both seem like places that I would consider should I have the need. It would be nice if they posted the distance on the walking path - minor detail but easy add. The playground is recently restored and usually the parents do a good job of cleaning up in the mornings, but it would be nice to see the city take that on every Saturday and Sunday morning at least. I'd like to see the weekend market grow and evolve. Much smaller and not as many options as High Park on the east side. Not quite as scenic as the more secluded Riverview. But overall, a very good...

This is a uniquely designed park located in the heart of Derby. It is sleek and well designed. They have brand new swings that you can lay down on and climbing areas. The kids like the splash park, especially at night. They want to spend hours there! They have a nice sitting area for adults and a huge chess playing game. This is one of the nicest kids’ park I have been too! They also have two venues that can be rented out. They host a spring art market and a Christmas lighting ceremony for the town.

This park is awesome. The playground itself is all turf which is very nice. That being said this park can get HOT. To beat the heat theres a splash pad up above the park thats very refreshing. There is a walking trail that goes all the way around the park and theres a waterfall that comes straight down one of the walls. Back to the playgroung, the equipmemt is all brand new and in great shape. A big detailed wall of all kinds of different animals burrowed in the ground.
