Dawn was our point of contact for The Venue at Madison Central Park and she was amazing! She was extremely communicative over e-mail. In the months/weeks leading up to the wedding day we were able to access the venue whenever we needed or whenever one of our vendors needed to do a walk through.
It checked nearly all of the boxes for us.
400 guest capacity. Had the option for us to rent from the Friday night before the wedding. Location was ideal for us since it was less than 10 minutes away from our house (this came in clutch when we had to make multiple trips back and forth during setup). Freedom to bring in our own vendors. We had kids at our wedding so the playground was great.

It was alright. Too small and it seemed there could be more upkeep work done on the grass area.
I had time to kill before a dentists’ appointment that is right down the street and I was thinking I could go check this park out.

Read moreWe went to a playground in Augusta and we heard about the great playground in Derby. Drove from Augusta to Derby just to bring my 11yr old to play chess.... ummm.... it’s a great looking board, but plan to bring your own life sized chess pieces. He was extremely disappointed and we could have saved 30-45 min and just drove home instead of to Derby. Don’t advertise you have a life sized chess board if you can’t play on it.
The rest of the playground was good. But we only stayed for 10-15 min.
Overall clean and the parents/kids there were respectful. That is something we don’t find too often at public parks.
