A real ankle tester. Great fishing sometimes and great views. Boulder sized rocks to navigate, one step and could lead to a broke leg. Use caution. Fishing at times can be Great depending on season, tides, and water clarity. Mornings seem to be better than evenings. I visited mid September and bait was plentiful and it was ladyfish on every cast at prime time. False albacore. Spanish mackerel, red drum are all abundant in the summer months. Parking for public is very limited and requires a parking pass. $5 for 5 hours. Scuba divers and snorkeling is good there as well or more so on the first jetty. Lots of dolphins, seas turtles, a...

This place is perfect for "light" snorkeling for kids or adults. There are four 30-50 foot wide cutouts with beaches teaming with fish, crabs and other sea life. Fish food like those pellets sold at docks and marinas will bring fish to eat out of your palm. You can also dig out sand crabs from the shores to feed the fish if you are okay with that type of thing.

Parking is $5 for 5 hours, but there are only 40-50 spots located here. They did have lifeguards...

Absolutely Beautiful and island like beach BUT..the jetty itself is LOADED WITH TRASH. CANS, WRAPPERS , FISHING LINE LEFT BEHIND. I picked up what I could but the jetty is slippery and dangerous because of the rocks so as much $$ as Destin makes there is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE THE FISH AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT CAN'T SEND SOMEONE WHO IS SUITABLE TO SAFELY CLEAN IT UP. There are beautiful turtles and much more wildlife that is being threatened by the...

We accessed the East Jettys by parking along the road and walking on the O'steen Beach Trail. We saw 2 sting rays, a sea turtle 🐢 several fish, nurse shark and about 6 dolphins!!! It was so exciting! Beautiful and breath taking! A good place to snorkel. on the "calm" side of the rocks. There is a beach area no many waves. A beautiful beach area.
