Destin-West Jetty — Attraction in Destin

Went with my wife to fish about 2 hours before sunset. Found a wall that would be great with live shrimp. From this location, if you look left a small public beach can be seen. The rock jetty is located on the far end of that beach. I have not been back yet with enough daylight to fish lures and jigs, but it looks very promising. I live in Pensacola, but this area seems worth the hour drive, even though I have found a few productive sites 10 min from my house. If photos and sunsets are your passion, this location will not disappoint. Many folks with fancy camera gear and drones. Water is very clear, and fish can be seen easily. This was my favorite place in the universe but the local government shut it down and made it accessible only to the rich who don't actually live here full time. If you come in on a boat, you're good have fun but you can't come in if you're a local who serves the rich who can afford the boat to get to it...... Our local government has always hated us but they used to at least appease us with little trinkets...
