First off the only reason Iâm putting 2 stars is because I donât want Google to take the honest review down. Secondly, if you donât live in the apartments you should not be able to review the apartments. Since when are you able to gauge how good an apartment is by having a tour or moving people in? Thatâs ridiculous. Third, before the management responds saying âsomeone with this name does not live in the apartmentsâ, Why would I use my professional email when I still live here âŚFOR NOW? That would be dumb.
Now that thatâs over letâs get into the review.
The PROS: 1.) The apartments are quiet (at least the area Iâm at). There is minimal noise which makes it good if you work from home. 2.) Internet is included for $70 which is a decent price. 3.) When used, the Amazon lockers are a great way to prevent package theft. 4.) Extremely close to Sweetwater Creek which is beautiful to walk. 5.) Maintenance is quick and responsive. They address and fix your issues fast.
The CONS: 1.) The gate frequently breaks down and there were car break-ins. Which for the price of this place is crazy. They hired a security guard the week after it happened, he patrolled that week, and then we never seen him again. Doesnât feel very safe. 2.) After you sign your lease they do not answer that phone again. Unless youâre calling James or Jadah (who are extremely helpful). Donât expect to hear from your other agents again. Especially Debbie. Great initially then after you sign you canât get her on the phone. 3.) The breezeways are filthy and filled with cobbwebs, dead bugs, and dirt. They need pressure-washed! 4.) The valet trash people seem to have quit as they never pick up the trash Sunday-Thursday. It sits until maintenance picks it up but we are still charged $25 for it a month. 5.) Despite having a dog park there is dog poop everywhere and dog owners walk their pets unleashed. Which despite dog size is not supposed to be done. 6.) The package room is not key controlled so if you have a package that is too big to fit in the lockers it may not be there when you go to get it because anyone can walk in and take whatever with no consequences. 7.) There are always water issues. Water is shut off for hours with minimal to no notice. Which inconvenient for residents.
The apartments have the potential to be good with the area they are in but they fall short in safety, communication, and...
Read moreBEWARE They have removed quite a few 1 star reviews!
While the apartments are beautiful, the service is not. Management has been changed...quite a few times ...and with that unfortunately comes, certain people behaving how they choose to instead of how they are supposed to per their job descriptions.
As previous 1 star reviews have pointed out, no matter how much you complain....it goes ignored. What's even worse is there is a little favoritism. They pick and choose who's complaints are valuable and who's complaints should go unattended.
So basically you're completely screwed if they decide in their minds they are gonna ignore whatever you (rightfully) complain about.
They also aren't very stern when it comes to enforcing the lease, as others have pointed out. Hence dog poop being everywhere, people making tons of noise, littering, on top of a whole heap of other issues.
It's like their main focus is to get people in here and once you're in, you're pretty much on your own. Everyone in the leasing office behaves differently and for the most part, it hasn't been consistently ensuring everyone's complaints are properly rectified (hence all the 1 star reviews.)
It's not that surprising they have removed some reviews but it is disturbing if I'm being honest.
Again, previous reviews echo the same complaints. There's a lot of carelessness and lackluster attitudes towards a lot of things that go on here. It's very frustrating when you have to entrust they will listen and they don't.
Please really think things through before coming here. Because it's definitely not what it seems.
EDIT No, this comment was intended for THIS community, Elan Sweetwater Creek. But this same condescending tone is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Instead of getting smart (or attempting to) you should be more concerned with the 1 star ratings regarding tenants' complaints.
Also, I know for a FACT that reviews have been removed because I screenshoted the one star comments. Maybe you can't remove them yourself BUT you have the the ability to flag them, so Google can remove them.
Let's see how long this review will stay up.
So yeah...again....be careful coming here. I can only hope management improves instead of focusing solely on...
Read moreOn Sunday, June 23rd, I visited The Elan at Sweetwater with my client for a scheduled showing at 1:30 PM, booked through MLS ShowingTime.( I am a realtor for reference ) Upon arrival, the leasing agent appeared overwhelmed by the number of visitors in the office, including a couple with a baby, another family, and two women. I introduced myself and provided my business card, but the leasing agent insisted that we did not have an appointment since he couldn't find it in his system.
Despite my explanation that the appointment was made through MLS, the leasing agent James became upset, accusing me of being aggressive and insisting that we did not have an appointment. He continued to address my client directly, questioning my professionalism and refusing to acknowledge the appointment.
As tensions rose, my husband intervened, asking the leasing agent to calm down. Instead, the leasing agent began yelling, claiming he was being attacked, even though no one was arguing or attacking him. He then refused to show us the apartment, suggesting we return another day.
While the complex itself is appealing, clean, and offers numerous amenities, the leasing agent's behavior was unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile. He could have handled the situation more diplomatically by checking the schedule again, accommodating us with another group, or suggesting we return at a later time. His inability to manage stress and interact appropriately with potential tenants is concerning. If he cannot control his emotions and handle customer service interactions effectively, this role may not be suitable for him. Given this experience, I am hesitant to return to The Elan...
