Cracker Barrel Old Country Store — Restaurant in Douglasville

So on Saturday October 7 2023 at 9pm my husband and I walk in the hostess by the name of Melissa ask how many I said (2) at that time a worker by the name of (Markese) gave the hostess (Melissa) a hand gesture like cut it off no more customers she never spoke we followed her to the table she slung the breakfast menu's down on the table I ask for the dinner menu Melissa walked off never said anything,so we're like ok. The worker (Markese) were cleaning a table as the other little girl (Janika) were sweeping the floor who never spoke mind you there were a family of six who had already been served when we got to our table, my husband and I were the only one there, now It's 9:20pm we're still waiting patiently for a server, finally I got up went to the cashier counter to ask for a manager of course (Markese) the sweeper were at the counter making jokes with the cashier so I asked him who was the manager? He stated her name is (Gabby Burdick) I ask politely for him to ask her to come over to our table which took her about (10 minutes) which was unacceptable. She ask what was going on I told her we felt not welcomed your employees are rude on top of that the little girl (Janika) continued to stop sweeping to roll her eyes at me directly, Melissa brings out the 2 dinner menu's and throw them on the table in front of the manager and walked off nothing said. I can tell everyone right now the manager (Gabby Burdick) must be in a very tuff position because she seemed very intimadated by certain employees. I then said to the manager I ask what time do you close she said 10pm so if we got there at 9 we wasted 25mins, the manager proceeded to ask what we wanted I said we will not be eating here I mean you can't think that I would trust you or your kitchen to serve us after a complaint.... So upon walking out the little girl who continued to roll eyes and bucking ran to the cashier counter and stood there like she really wanted to try me but little does she know I'm very much a grown woman who don't play with kids and certainly I'm not going to jail for you lil girl (Janika) I think the manager should have handled the situation and employees better than she did the entire dining room staff was rude and pass unprofessional..... So Cracker Barrel Roll The Footage and you will see for yourself....your customer service sucks to no return and look at your reviews they're ugly with guest feeling not welcomed. So corporate what are you going to do about your inexperience bunch kids over there, I'm speaking for all of the bad review customers who feels like I do??? The food was definitely the saving grace of this trip. Unfortunately our server was terrible. I payed close attention she was in a 4 table section she was not double sat nor was she struggling due to staffing. Unfortunately the service industry might not be for her. We were sat as soon as we came(which we were expecting to wait) so that was a pleasant surprise. Our server did not come to greet us. Unfortunately I had to stop her at another table to ask if we had a server and she said she was ours but did not see us sit down. She had greeted us, so maybe she just forgot to come back and get our drink order? There was three people in our party two adults and one child she brought out each drink one at a time and then periodically disappeared into the back after stopping her to tell her we were ready to place an order she was very confused with the orders in which we were placing. She also had two stars on her server outfit so I do know that she had been there long enough to know what was going on. we made no changes or substitutions no special allergies or food request. Although just simply placing our order was a very challenging task. We watched several tables come and go as we were sitting I even got up and took my child to the shopping area and played for almost 17 minutes and our food was still not there as we were leaving another server brought out our food after we had waited a total it's 39 minutes from the moment we originally placed our drink order That's not including the time that it took me to find our server and the time that it took her to bring each drink back one at a time or the time that it took me when I had to track her down to place the order. Our order was brought out by another server the food was wonderful but unfortunately anything that we had asked for including silverware are server could not make it back to the table with any items we had asked for. Which included silverware straws napkins and ketchup. I actually ended up going into the server station near the kitchen so that my child could eat. Unfortunately we will not be returning to this location but as stated the food...

This review is based on the Thanksgiving to-go meal. The process of ordering the meal was a little difficult. I attempted to order a Thanksgiving Family meal online a week before Thanksgiving, and the website rejected the order. It said that I needed to call the restaurant instead. I called the restaurant, and was told that they were not taking phone orders, and that I should place my order online! I told person on the phone that I already attempted to order online, but the website said to call in the order. After being transferred to 2 or 3 workers, I finally spoke with a manager who took my order over the phone. However, their system was down, and I couldn't pay for my order over the phone. The manager suggested that I come by the restaurant that day or the next day to pay for the order. I gave her my husband's name and phone number, and told her that he would be there later that day once he got off from work. Well, my husband went to the restaurant to pay for the order, and he was immediately told that they were not taking any orders! He had to explain that our order was already placed, and he was there to pay for it. Finally someone checked the note that the manager left, and saw that indeed, his name was written down for an order, and he was able to pay. I don't know if we should have placed our order earlier, or if Cracker Barrel was not prepared to handle these types of orders, or a combination of both. The food itself was pretty good. It consisted of a roasted turkey breast, dressing with a container of chicken broth, turkey gravy, sweet potato souffle, rolls, cranberry relish, and our one side of macaroni and cheese. I was not a fan of the sweet potato souffle. It tasted more like a pumpkin souffle. I added a Colby-Monterrey Jack cheese to the top of the mac n cheese to give it more of an orange color.
