Hello Jeep Family, I have a situation that has caused a breach in my relationship with Calavan Jeep concerning my experiences over the last 4 -5 months. Starting off I purchased a 2021 Grand Jeep Cherokee Summit L in 2021 at a Jeep dealership in Chamblee, Ga. I decided to trade the â21 in for a â24, thatâs when go to Calavan. I actually SOLD Calavan Jeep my â21 and ordered a â24. Two months later the â24 arrived. I went to the dealership and my credit is over 700 so I was expecting a great interest rate and monthly note which wasnât the case. The â21 interest rate was I the 2âs and Calavan financed me with Stallantis financial. Never heard of that bank but Calavan finance team financed my deal with Stallantis. I take the vehicle home and very excited about the new smell and same look. Really like the car after all how many times have you bought the same model make back to back. Soon after, new car smell still good actually 2days after I purchased, I went to start the vehicle and it wouldnât start, I jumped the car and proceeded to reflect on how this problem came to be. I had no physical evidence to show how I caused the battery to not provide enough power to start the car. This was a first of untimely no starts that has caused me tremendous problems. Calavan Jeep Service has admitted slightly that they acknowledge slightly that there is a problem. For instance, I bought the vehicle back two weeks after purchase and Calavan Jeep Charged the auxiliary battery and gave the car back to me and said everything was fine. They told me that I obviously keep leaving the lights on or something to cause the battery to drain. I was humiliated in front of the the other customers because I felt like the 80k I just spent was turning against me into a major problem. At this time Calavan Jeep management team offered to payoff the â24 Jeep Cherokee Summit L and put me into another vehicle but after reading all the battery problems on the internet I began to realize that I wasnât the only person experiencing this battery drainage preventing the he starting of the car. This vehicle has a parasitic drainage issue. The second time I bought the vehicle, one of Jeep Calavan employees drove the vehicle and the problem was experienced by the employee, this was never documented in the service dept notes. I have been in contact with Jeep Connect manufacturer who have been conducting an investigation. Calavan service manager told me today that they will send the â24 to the impound because they canât keep this vehicle here in their property because they have conducted their investigation and canât find problem. My concern is that Iâm dealing with the manufacturing company and they are telling me that they are sending a special team to investigate but Calavan is telling me to take my car from the dealership or they will send to impound with the problem not being resolved. At this point I feel duped with a 1200.00 car note and $300.00 insurance and for a vehicle that wonât start and leave me and my family stranded and I will need help. Any suggestions? Iâll never deal with Calavan again moving forward. Being from Louisiana and a small town mostly financially challenged, I know the importance of paying my bills on time and being responsible as an adult however I notified stallantis financial bank to let them know what problem Iâm having. So at this time I will concentrate on getting some attention from proper entities. Calavan Jeep have encouraged a feeling of darkness. I feel terrible that I bought the 80k problem. Now Since the somewhat acknowledge the problem and canât find the problem Iâm getting treats from service manager tokay they will send vehicle to junk yard. BBB AUTO LINE. Well I donât...

At the beginning of my process, this team gave me hope that I trusted the right place. I spent 2 weeks working on a deal with this company. Yes, they were very patient during the process. However, that patience turned into a nightmare. I went from 2 weeks working a deal, to five hours being inside the dealership getting the car, to three weeks later being threatened to (what I thought was a purchased car) report the car stolen if I didnât have it returned by closing. After my credit being ran almost 6-7 times. I trusted this team to help me get out of paying for 1k in Ubers weekly. To be back in the same situation AGAIN. You would think that out of all the time we spent working on this deal that they wouldâve had all the information they needed. However, this dealership doesnât care about the customer, they care about their money. I was at work while being threatened from the managers Sean and Jonas. They told me I had until 8 to bring them the car even though I didnât get off work until 7Pm and being an hour away. I brought the vehicle before closing to avoid issues. I was told theyâd have to work a new deal to keep the car. Even after being blocked by Sean, Jonas, and my calls being forwarded from the dealership phones. I still was willing to keep this car. I even had co-signers trying to call this company and they were blocked as well. The receptionist would answer and hang up the phone. It got to the point where I had to inform law enforcement that I was being refused my money BEFORE I EVEN CAME BACK UP THERE. I was promised a way home from Jonas and pretty much was kicked to the curb. I stay an HOUR away from this dealership. I was told I could have my deposit refunded and never received my refund even though there was absolutely nothing wrong with the car. Theyâre saying I made two payments with two different cards JUST to avoid refunding me. Iâve even provided proof that I used the same payment method for my deposit.
This dealership will go as far as lying to you to make you believe youâve purchased a car to calling you 3 weeks later telling you the loan was never approved. This has been a complete nightmare and I want to warn ANYBODY who is doing their best and trying to get their lives together to AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS. These people DO NOT care about you at all. Even the next day my mom called just to get some answers and she was cursed out by Sean and blocked. I have never seen such unethical behavior. As managers, I expected more. Even Preston as my sales rep, nice guy, however, set me up with all of this in the first place. As a sales rep he shouldâve made sure that all of my information was obtained within the 2 weeks of me doing the deal without seeing the vehicle. His management failed him as well by not ensuring he had all the information upfront before even letting me drive off the lot thinking everything is settled. I didnât even have the car for a full three weeks!! Instead I had to deal with management cursing me out and calling the police on me for not wanting to leave without my deposit.
LADIES!! PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMEONE YOU TRUST TO ENSURE THE PROCESS IS GOING...

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, I took my Jeep Gladiator to the CALAVAN dealership located at 1251 Thornton Road, Lithia Springs because my Jeep unexpectedly shut down. After performing diagnostics, the service department advised that my Jeep needed an engine replacement. I was given an out-of- pocket cost estimate of $13,000. Upon inquiring about coverages for the replacement engine, a CALAVAN staff member informed me that she did not see any coverages in the system besides GAP insurance. Consequently, I paid $6,600, the first half of the out-of-pocket costs, to initiate the engine replacement.
On Saturday, June 29, 2024, after the replacement engine had been installed, I paid the remaining balance of $6,530 and took possession of my Jeep.
On Sunday, June 30, 2024 (the next day), my Jeep shut down again. I took my Jeep back to CALAVAN so that they can determine the cause of the shut down that occurred even after they installed the brand new engine.
On July 11, 2024, I was informed by CALAVAN staff that they could not find anything wrong. I took possession of my Jeep once more. Unfortunately, on the very same day, after driving only a few miles, my Jeep shut down again. At this point, I was convinced that the engine was not the problem to begin with. I expressed this concern when I took my Jeep back to CALAVAN. However, the dealership would not reimbursement for the misdiagnosis.
On October 2, 2024, after further maintenance had been performed on my Jeep, I was informed by CALAVAN staff that my Jeep was ready. When I arrived at the dealership, I was told to sign a document that read: âThe above repairs are goodwill and satisfies the claim of mis-representationâŠ.By signing this document CALAVAN CDJR is held harmless.â After reading this, I wanted to test drive my Jeep before signing the document. CALAVAN staff would not allow me to test drive my Jeep. As such, I signed the document and took possession of my Jeep.
As of today, my Jeep has not shut down. However, my check engine light is on.
In short, the initial diagnosis was that I needed a new engine. Despite the installation of a new engine, my Jeep continued to present the same issue (shutting down) that it did when I initially took it in for service in May. I am certain that my issue was not the engine. This lengthy process has been a significant inconvenience, requiring unnecessary use of my time, energy, and money.
It is also worth noting that on July 3, 2024, after locating his MOPAR identification card, I decided to reach out to MOPAR directly to inquire about my coverages. After being told by CALAVAN staff that she âdid not see any coverages besides GAP insurance,â I was both shocked and relieved to hear that my MOPAR coverage was still effective, and that engines are covered. I reached out to CALAVAN to inform them of the coverage, the CALAVAN staff checked the system again and was not able to locate the coverage. The coverage was not honored although my records showed that, on May 16, 2024, when I took my truck in for diagnosis, I was not due for an...
