I got my second COVID shot at the Dover DMV, and the customer service from the National Guard was Superior! I appreciate the genuine conversation and concern they had for me during my waiting period, and throughout the entire process! Thanks Guys, and Great Job! Thank you for your Service! Today, 5/19/23, I had to renew my driver's license and had an excellent experience at the DMV. The representative Peggy Porter was so helpful so professional made me laugh and gave me a different experience that I've had in any other DMV. Keep up the good work Peggy keep up the good work over DMV and appreciate you guys Thanks a lot!!!

Today Ms.Tiffany was my driving test instructor. Before that, I was sitting in front of her for my written one, she was both times nice and made me feel better on taking the test. She’s a wonderful lady. I’m lucky and thankful that she was my instructor/ tester for both times, I’m a month old resident in Dover or the US rather. She made my first experiences with local people Super Nice. Aside from her, they also do have most kind people there. (Each person who helped me were all kind) Ms. Tiffany just made me feel confident during the test and I hope all her DMV days is as great as her.

Piss poor customer service through the inspection lane recheck for a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu which is 13yr old car btw. Was told my car is supposed to have front marker lights that never existed. Showed them the light assembly indicating it doesn't exist, but was treated like a liar. The supervisor then went on to inform me that I as a customer need to call GM, and get a letter stating it never came with front marker lights. The Division of Motor Vehicles should have this information on hand. Needless to say the letter was obtained, and can't wait tell em how much they suck. Just a mess!

Senior citizen here with physical limitations and a legal Delaware Handicap tag went through inspection early Wednesday (Dover) afternoon not long of wait first gentleman in inspection lane very pleasant pull up to second guy to lights brakes (younger white guy with glasses) poor attitude, cocky failed my inspection because little side clear marker light was out and I wasn’t aware ok I understand but just simply say get that fixed soon as my low, high beam fog, tag, brake, back up and engine was PERFECT then he walks around my vehicle being nosy sees manufacturer tint on windows then being cocky says put your passenger, driver side windows up, down and I am thinking since when do I have to be able to past inspection by showing all my electric side windows work, (no glass on vehicle is cracked or broken either gets out little hand held device said your tinted windows are illegal, get it off or apply for medical tint waiver, that no doctors in Delaware will sign and you need a little bulb in little corner front side marker light (it’s fixed now 63.00 dollars) so I am failing your inspection 2018 is my vehicle year with 55,000 miles funny thing is I am 61 years old wear prescription eye glasses and can walk ride up to my side tinted windows and see everything inside everything else was perfect on my vehicle, perfect yet that guy ( I won’t share his initials) ….state needs to worry more about individuals driving with no insurance and causing accidents while uninsured, been there done that and the guilty individual got off free from dmv court systems plus from paying my insurance for repairs of 4,500, in this state ITS ALWAYS the legal, law abiding citizens, drivers who get harassed…the tinted windows law in Delaware is absolutely ridiculous as not every body who has tinted windows is a criminal with a gun ready to shoot when police pulls them over just did a car jacking etc and with all the vehicles whose contents are being stolen and vehicles to ..tinted windows save on fuel in hot summer keeps inside cooler, less sun glare shining in blinding drivers, these newer vehicles with touch screen for controls the hot beating sun is not good for the screen and tinted windows help protect etc why is it important for police to be safe when they pull over a driver yet law abiding citizens drivers especially alone females ARE NOT ALLOWED COMFORT SAFETY, SECURITY, PRVACY TOO WHILE IN OR OPERATING THEIR VEHICLES.. funny thing police have never question me a senior citizen with a handicap tag about the tint never, not when I was hit by uninsured driver that the state dmv court didn’t punish nor when officers came up to my vehicle one time tapped on window to ask me a question from 2 different police agencies too because they like I could see inside my passenger drivers side windows so could numerous homeless male pan handler who approached my vehicle…ITS TIME TO STOP TREATING EVERYONE LIKE A CRIMINAL WITH TINTED WINDOWS ..my point the young white guy with glasses in inspection lane needs re-training…WHY ARE DMV INSPECTIONS LANE NOT CHECKING THAT SEATBELTS WORK IN VEHICLE INSTEAD OF WINDOWS SEATBELTS ARE PROVEN TO SAVE LIVES AND IT IS THE LAW….how, why is DMV issuing T TAGS to dealers selling used vehicles with tinted windows.. I am seriously considering contacting Gov Carney’s office about my experience… my tags are good anyway til Jan now I will have to go through re-check and I AM NOT REMOVING THE TINT even more why is DMV etc letting motorcycle riders passengers in Delaware ride with NO HELMETS ..I guarantee you if I was a male who had taken my vehicle just like it is PERFECT thru inspection that young white male with glasses would...

Very nerve wracking experience trying to get my license renewed. I’m in the military and have not physically resided in Delaware for quite sometime, so understandably so I had to provide documentation to get my license renewed. No problem I provide the requested documentation. I was contacted a few weeks later and informed that certain documents were missing. I comply, but I expressed to the woman assisting me verbally and via email that I was in process of moving and asked her if she could mail my license to my brother’s address. She agreed, but my brother informed me that he never received my license in the mail. I reached back out to her and she tells me she sent the license to my previous address. I then provided her with a screenshot where I expressed where I wanted the license mailed that she claims she never saw, which I find hard to believe just seemed like gross negligence to me. She then agreed to send me another license. By now I was settled into my new place and gave her my new address and when I do she gives me attitude!

I know everybody makes mistakes and we sometimes get overwhelmed and i’m very lenient when it comes to these matters! But at the same time our transportation is very vital to our livelihood and these matters should be taken seriously with little margin for error! I also don’t appreciate being given attitude when it was her own incompetence that got us here...

Yesterday I had one of my worst experiences of my life. I had my practical exam and the instructor (black lady) is one of the worst person I’ve met in my life. Since she didn’t answer my ā€œhelloā€ I knew she had a bad attitude. The way she talked to me was very very rude !!! She gave some instruction that I could understand and she did not have patience and when she repeat them she raised her voiced and treat me worst that an animal, treated me like idiot. I was very very nervous I was shaking. Instead of give me an option that a translator could be with me she got off from the car and shout the door of the car very hard and went away. I don’t know why this kind of person works here. When I went for the fist time the lady that take my information and check my docs for the writing exam was very nice an polite. The sir that supervise me when I was doing the writing exam was absolutely polite and nice… I complained with her supervisor and she was polite and she heard me. I WILL COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS BECAUSE THIS KIND OF PERSON SHOULD NOT WORK IN A GOVERNMENT INSTITUTION!!!! She create a trauma on me !!!!!.. update: I came back and I passed my exam. The experience was much better. The people was nice with me .. I didn’t see the...
