Stopped by for the last tour of the day (3:30pm) on a Sunday. Our tour guide (don’t remember her name, maybe Megan? So sorry!) was so great and patient with our kids and all their questions. The jail was very interesting to see. You get to walk in each cell, and imagine you were a “visitor” in the mid-1800’s. The “graffiti” on the walls was stunning to see, that it’s made it so long and looks like new. This is an absolute must see if in or passing through the area. Read moreMy family and I were in town visiting and decided to stop by on a whim to check it out. We loved listening to the history and seeing the rooms. The only thing that bugged me was the tour guide. She immediately started off making fun of my son's shirt, got extremely frustrated at him when he couldn't find items on the scavenger hunt and at one point he asked her a question and she said look, ask your mom okay!! Read moreWas totally disappointed to pay $20 for 2 adults to go see a museum where 90% of the museum couldn't be viewed. All you really got to see was the cells, the kitchen, the shed and women who wrote books in the surrounding area. You didn't get to see anything above the 2nd floor. I was excited to go see this jail because my son saw it as a child and loved it. My experience was not as good as his and I'd never go back nor would I ever encourage anyone to go tour it....
