My family stayed at the Nickels-Sortwell house mothers day weekend. We rented out the back of the house through Turnkey. It was such a great experience to stay in a house built in the 1800s. Don't be alarmed when you find doors that you can't open and places you can't go LOL (we arrived late so it was dark) we later found out that they go into the main house where the tour takes you. The tour was very informative but not suitable for young kids. It was hard to wrangle my curious 2 year old. We were a little nervous about lead paint but overall staying at a historical site was pretty cool.

A very interesting house, a part of Historical New England Society. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and talked about the house through history. Interestingly you can also stay in the house as a part of it can be booked through Airbnb. We enjoyed our visit and highly recommend it!

Beautiful mansion and our guide was so knowledgeable. Interesting history with changing fortunes of owners over the years and how the building became a hotel at one time. Definitely check out the tour.
