Pound House Farmstead — Attraction in Dripping Springs

What an amazing tour! Our docent was absolutely phenomenal - incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and brought the history to life with fascinating stories and details. You can tell the volunteers here genuinely love sharing this special place. The Pound House itself is beautifully preserved and offers such a unique glimpse into local history. Every room tells a story, and the guided tour format makes it so much more engaging than just walking through on your own. The location in Dripping Springs is perfect, and this is definitely a hidden gem that more people should know about. I'd recommend doing the guided tour of the home, buildings and gardens. There's no admission fee to do the guided tour. You can donate cash or use venmo to donate money.

What a lovely visit we had at the Pound House Farmstead. I expected that it would take us half an hour to tour this small farmhouse, however, the volunteer working there (Monday) was so passionate and thorough, that we ended up spending over 2 hours!
