We recently had a family gathering at Natkhat Flavors, and it turned into one of the most special and memorable dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with genuine warmth by the owners, Sakshi and Raj—two of the kindest, most passionate people we’ve met. It felt less like walking into a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone’s home.
The food? Absolutely amazing. Every dish was packed with authentic flavors and made with such care and attention. Our favorites included the rich and creamy Butter Chicken, flavorful Chicken Tikka Masala, juicy Chicken Kabob Wraps, and tender Chicken Tikka Bites. For the vegetarians in our group, the Chana Masala, Gobhi Masala, Palak Paneer, and Dal Tadka were comforting, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. The Garlic Naan was fresh and fluffy—perfect for scooping up every last bit of sauce.
We also appreciated the thoughtful option to customize the spice level for both chicken and vegetarian dishes, which made the meal enjoyable for everyone in our group. And for dessert, the warm, syrupy Gulab Jamun was the perfect sweet ending, along with a refreshing Mango Lassi to cool everything down.
This wasn’t just a meal—it was a heartfelt experience. Sakshi and Raj's love for food and people shines through in every bite and every interaction. Thank you for making our family feel so welcome and for creating a space filled with flavor, warmth, and genuine care. We can’t wait to come back...
Read moreI am not generally misled by Google restaurant reviews, but this time they missed the mark. I had high hopes and was disappointed in every way.
And, for the record, I’ve been eating Indian food all over the world for decades - it’s one of my favorite cuisines.
Menu: please print paper menus, it’s a service to customers. Scrolling through tons of options on your phone is frustrating and unnecessary. And, don’t use COVID or infection control as an excuse.
Food: Baingun Bharta was really good, give credit where it’s due, but the Palak Paneer was probably the worst I’ve had in years. It was bland and simply didn’t taste good. I had to throw it away, $20 (entree+rice) in the trash. Additionally, please allow customers to substitute paneer for chicken in popular dishes. I haven’t been to an Indian restaurant in more than a decade that didn’t allow this substitute.
Naan - the shape, taste, texture is identical to Trader Joe’s frozen packaged naan - not saying that’s what they serve but I love TJ’s naan and eat it all the time - I’d swear it’s the same.
Rice - you charge $4 to add to a dish? At every Indian restaurant I’ve been to across the world it’s standard to include it with an entree. If you don’t want to include it, at least price it $1-$2…but $4?
All the above issues could be over looked in a restaurant with 4.0 or lower rating, but when the rating is 4.8 you expect better options, better service, better value, and better...
Read moreWe went there on a Saturday with high hopes, encouraged by the good reviews and recommendation from a friend. So it was disappointing that we had a poor experience.
We arrived at 7:40. Sensitive to the 8:00 closing time, we asked if it was ok to come in and were enthusiastically welcomed to sit.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Very clean, nicely laid out and a comfortable ambience. The consistent issue in our visit was rude service.
Our first appetizer - samosas - arrived quickly in a basket. But we had no plates, silverware or napkins. After about 2 minutes we raised our hand to request them and got a huffy “I’m getting them now”. We got most of it - but no knife (which made them a little awkward to eat) and no drinks.
Our entrees came in appropriate time. When placing it on the table, our waitress said “your Diet Coke is coming”. I said “and we’re also waiting for a beer and tea”, which got another huffy “yes, they’re coming too”. (I don’t think they were).
The food was good. However, at around 8:00 - closing time - another staff person (maybe the owner) came and asked if she could start clearing our plates. My wife was still eating but no problem, other than she kinda hovered, giving a sense that they really wanted us to finish. By that point we just wanted to leave.
Good food and a nice venue totally overshadowed by the spotty service...
