This is a great gravel trail system that connects directly with the Willard Munger trail in West Duluth in the Duluth Zoo area where there are options for camping, as well as lodging with fire pits behind them. Along your hike on this trail, there are gorgeous sites to see including wildlife such as geese. This is by far my favorite trail in the city!

There is only one section of closed trail but still walkable at the beginning, parking lot is closed for construction workers only. We parked on the side street. There are a few wash out areas along the trail that have been cordoned off but the trail still goes around, use caution. Beautiful little hike for all levels!

A beautiful peaceful trail. With slight challenges with hills and gravel terrain. Perfect for a hiker of any level.

Nice gravel trail (mostly) along the estuary of the St Louis River. No major hills. Nice for walking, trail running, and biking. Stays open while the rest of the natural surface trails are shut down in early spring. 3.5 miles all together or so. No good parking at either end. Best accessed at the Willard...
