I generally do not write reviews however I was compelled by this stay. First of all I must say the weekend staff were excellent. My family of 4 (2 young kids under 8) paid about $110.00 for room 103 with two queen beds. I do believe the price point was too high as you will read. When we arrived we drove right passed it because the sign is behind about 5 30 foot pine trees. When we turned around their were no obvious drive ways. At this point my wife berried her head and said, "What have you got us into?" One side is pasted the building and the other leads onto a dirt lot that i didn't know it was the Inn's property. This is a classic Motel turned Inn. Dated (cool) yet clean. One of the side walks are so slated and uneven my 6 years old fell twice. I couldn't imagine a wheel chair or somebody that had difficulty walking could do its safely. The landscaping was great. The other strange thing is they have those bulking cement ash trash from the 1970's in front of every room. It is nice that every room is smoke free however if your neighbor is smoking every ten minutes, feet from an open door or window (for great cool fresh air) it doesn't matter if the rooms are smoke free. The main point is those throw back ash trays keep people close to the doors for smoking. The room was clean. The Sheets, pillows, refrigerator, microwave were clean and dust free. The towels were above average for most hotels. The carpet seamed older with cigarette burns around the door. It did look like it was remodel by a DIYer and not fully thought through. The bathroom was awkward and difficult to use with more than one person. The hardest thing was the bathroom door. It is so out of line my children couldn't close the door and made a lot of noise with it opens and closed waking many people up during the night. If you have camera or whatever electronic device that have the big block chargers on the plug, take notice because the outlets are hidden in holes with no outlet covers that are behind the wood cover walls and the charges could fit in that hole. The continental breakfast was adequate. The curious thing was they only had 2 seats per table that could easily seat four people. My wife and I stood to have breakfast because some people would take the chairs to seat 4 people at one table leaving one table with no chairs. This is so close to a very nice place over the strange curiosities along with the cost make it hard to decide on a brand name hotel with polished brand or an over priced independent with...

This is a pretty good place for the price. Room felt cozy but some parts were a little out dated like the trim, windows, paint and doors, but appliances and tvs were very nice. We stayed in room 208. The room wasnt huge but definitely enough room to relax in and the porch outside would be great for summer time. With a fire pit and grill both available and i did see a small pile of wood under the snow to go with them. The heat had no problem keeping the room toasty even in -11° temps. The bathroom was kinda small. Definitely one person getting ready at a time. The shower and toilet both seemed to be cleaned well. But the tile on the floor and around the tub could defiantly be cleaned better. The tub did fill up quickly and had no issues making the water as hot as you would ever want it. It fit two average sized adults pretty easily but if you are a person of height, you may want to go solo. The bed was comfy and looked very inviting with sheets that didnt look like they were bought in bulk like most other hotels. Outlets by the night stand were great and easy to access. Funiture was also quite nice with plenty of storage for an extended stay and a couch that pulls out. All had a nice "cabin" like feel and added to the cozy appeal. The sheets were clean and soft with a nice neutral smell. The towels in the bathroom were also nice quality and not scratchy like most hotel towels. With it being winter one annoyance that did arise was the lack of an enterance way. The front door opens up right into the "living room" area with no tile to take your boots off on. This made it so the carpet around the enterance way was always moist at best. Making it hard at times to walk around in socks or barefoot. The back door to the porch does have a tile enterance but no welcome mat to contain the water. But during the winter you wouldnt have much need to go out that door anyway. Also the window in the bedroom has a bright light shining throught it all night making it look almost daylight. It did have a shade to draw but sadly it wasnt dark enough to have much effect. The wifi worked well also making it easy to find great places to eat and explore. Staff seemed kind and didnt pester at all. All in all we had a great stay and The Willard Munger Inn will definatly be where we stay if we...

Please do not stay at this motel or rent anything from them or you will likely get assaulted! I recently rented a boat from the Willard Munger Inn thinking we would have a nice time boating around the St. Louis Bay. When their so called “employee” and what I mean by “employee” is that he is a “get paid under the table” kind of guy named Barry, brought us down to the water and just as we were about to get into the boat the neighbor came out and starting yelling and swearing to get off their property. I could not figure out who this person was that was yelling at us as they seemed like they had been drinking and were very aggressive, or why they were yelling at us because I thought everything was fine as I just rented a boat from Willard Munger who I thought was a legitimate business. The “employee” did not do anything to help the situation by calming the person down or telling us to come with him back to the motel, instead he let the neighbor get in our face yelling and swearing the most vulgar words you will ever hear, and ended up hitting my friend in the face and kept yelling and pushing him. The “employee” did not help us get back to our vehicle or the motel, and ran off when word that the cops were coming. When walking to our vehicle to get back to Willard Munger more people kept coming out of the neighbor’s house and started to run at us and repeatedly threatened and stalked us all the way back to the motel. I did not have my cell phone on me at the time so I could not call the police while they were threatening to hurt and even kill us. I have never been so scared in my life!!! We later found out that the property that this employee of Willard Munger brought us to was a neighbor’s property and not their own. Why they put us in this hostile situation I will never know. We have never received an apology from the owners/managers of this property and this employee of theirs I believe was not fired and still works there, and the police are still looking for him for questioning. Please do not put yourself in this situation and rent anything from this business. I do not wish this horrible...
