Xepher Arcade — Attraction in Durham

This arcade is sick. They have most rhythm games imaginable with multiples of some of the more popular games such as Sound Voltex. There is a ton of space and it doesn't feel cramped at all between machines. All of the machines are in great condition and the owner is super on point with his machine maintenance.

I brought my neighbor who hadn't really played any rhythm games before and he had a blast. They also have set-ups for fighting games, casual video games, and a multi-cade machine with a bunch of games on it. My favorite was their StepManiaX cab, on which we played teams mode with some strangers. Fun stuff!

They also sell candy, drinks, and figurines in the arcade. I don't know much about figurines, but my friend's daughter was definitely excited about that. Also price you pay at the door to get in is for unlimited free play of everything in the place for the entire day. Pretty crazy value honestly.

We tried this arcade for the first time on a weekday afternoon and ended up spending hours there. Despite that, there was enough variety that I didn't get to try everything (oh no, i guess we'll have to go back). It was only $20 for me and my husband to play as long as we wanted. Every other time I have played Pump It Up elsewhere, it was at LEAST a couple dollars per play so I feel like this was a steal. Plus, there's so many rare games there I've never even seen before.

Xepher is a truly amazing arcade. This place is so clearly a labor of love. I feel like they're offering a service to the community with their pricing model rather than trying to make money. I just hope it's sustainable for them because it is such...

Came across this place while looking for a fun activity to do with our kids over break - it fit the bill perfectly! We all had a blast and the staff was super helpful anytime we had questions. It was mezmorizing to watch the "professionals" do their thing on these games! We also got to scratch our retro console itch and play some of our old favorites with our kids.

I also feel the need to put in a plug for Victoria's earrings! As a lover of fun, beautiful and eclectic earrings I was so excited to come across her gorgeous handmade origami crane earrings for sale at the counter!!
