S H Nails — Attraction in East Lansdowne

I had been enjoying the energy of the salon, despite the fact that it is aesthetically not the cleanest or most modern. They are polite and generally accommodating.The service is quick and at a good price, and looks good when it’s done.

However, I was really turned off because three of my gel nails simply fell off within two days of my pedicure. So I had to go a week with it that way before I had the time to get back to the salon. I called ahead twice about the situation and informed them that I could not come back right away, but took pictures of the job with dates in my phone.

When you get your nails and feet done, you feel put together. Well not when you want to wear sandals and the toes are missing polish. 🫠

8 days later I am able to get to the salon. I pull the manager quietly aside right away. He has an incredulous look, never apologizes for the service and simply assigns someone to fix it, without clarifying to me that he even understood what I was saying.

Then I get to the pedicure bowl. The ladies are loudly questioning me about “well this seems like you have been wearing for a long time” etc. I was so annoyed. Not only have I had to come back for a service that was supposed to be completed correctly the first time, but I’ve also walked around in my cute outfits with my toes looking crazy for a week, now you are fixing the toes, but the color of my nails has changed and doesn’t really match the toes anymore and my feet are not freshly pedicured AND you are here questioning me, implying that I want to steal your service. Never an apology or accountability.

I left a $20 tip on service the first time and just felt annoyed, disappointed, disrespected etc. I won’t...

Today I went to get my daughter and I nails and a feet done. And because we had my granddaughter with us Jason wife let me know we would have to come back with out and showed me a sign on the door. So at first I said I’m k just do my 17 year old daughter I’ll come back. But when I read the sign what it said was no children unless being service. So I added her to be serviced. Not for nothing all children don’t act the same, what I mean is some children know how to sit and be serviced. Which they could clearly see. Yet that still wasn’t good enough but whenever I go which is biweekly they have no problem asking me about getting additional services. I have seen children serviced there as well. Something I wasn’t going to do was let this ruin my moment before my daughter’s graduation. So to avoid me becoming disrespectful like I felt due to her month and lack of staff I just left. Just won’t every return. I’m all about respect and customer service so as a owner if you don’t know how to speak to someone because your sign on your door isn’t clear that’s your issue and not mine

I would never recommend this place...

This place has great workers with beautiful spirits but some rush to get to the next patron. They no longer take all the steps when getting mani an Pedis and don't even clean up the paint left around your nail bed. Yet the prices has risen tremendously not matching the work. I get regular polish because that's what I prefer because the gel light sends a burning sensation through my fingertips. I don't understand why all of a sudden getting regular polish is an excuse for why the polish looks jacked up. As if regular polish wasn't around and had a pretty look way before gel polish came into existence. I feel like this shop caters more to the older people that can barely see their nails after they are completed. The markup on prices for everything should be where they find their tips unless they are doing crazy art work on someone.The one star was forced upon to write this out review , no...
