Lansdowne Deli — Restaurant in East Lansdowne

The sandwiches use to be the best when they first opened years ago, but since changing management the quality really went down. The sandwiches were their main selling point here since they are a “deli”. Virtually every thing sold in the store is designed to put the extra fat layers on your body, so unless you are okay with having morbid obesity problems then by all means go ahead and pig out here. Aside from the sandwiches there is candy, bagged chips and snacks, packaged ice cream, loaded with sugary sugarized soft drinks and beverages, a small selection of cleaning products and household products, and the main addictive product that keeps their regular customers coming in that is lossy Cigarettes and Cigarillos. They have an atm but it’s a surcharge, it appears they also do fill in lottery tickets. Not much really to decide from though. It fills the void of a convenience store that is only convenient to those who neither have a great healthy diet nor can afford a healthier meal. Honestly if you have to venture in here your most likely going to end up buying cigarettes and must be okay with eventual lung disease along with heart disease from the poor nutrition options offered here. Store is complete opposite of what it was when Papi in the photos was at the Deli back before the pandemic. Miss that dude. Now it smells like beer and sweating dogs, infested with flies, meat and other substances behind the deli counter left completely uncovered and exposed, person at the deli put on gloves to make hoagie only to play on his phone with them a dozen times while preparing the food. Cleanliness is next to godliness, its a simple mindset. it doesnt cost you extra money to be clean or organized and it is quite obvious that mindset left with whoever was running the store 2 years ago. Paid for the food i thought i wanted anyway then just ended up throwing it away out of fear i might get sick or end up with food poisoning. Beyond sad. Don't take my word for it at all go see...

Great place for a good pick up. Have plenty of ripe bananas up for sale. Very cute poppi store not too far from Giant & McDonald's. Great place to order deli platters.
