We visited downtown Delray Beach on Memorial Day weekend and there was an art fair where we enjoyed the offerings of many local artists, even taking something with us. We then walked along Atlantic Avenue towards the intercoastal, there were many restaurants,bars, and outdoor cafes all buzzing with activity. Boutiques and gift shops were also open but didn't seem as busy,I'm not sure if all that business was due to the holiday weekend but I imagine that every weekend sees people enjoying this pedestrian friendly area. It's close enough to Delray's Municipal beach and some of the beachside hotels that I would suggest checking it out for breakfast and lunch options or if you want to find a new bathing suit before jumping into the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Read moreI pass by this little park all the time, it's just a few blocks from my house, but I haven't taken a walk here lately because I no longer have 🐕s to walk 😭. My sister and I used to go swimming here many years ago with my aunt (Grandmother's sister). We'd walk because she lived only 2 blocks away, before they (aunt & uncle) bought a house a few blocks east, where after they were gone 😭, my grandma lived, and then I moved in, and after my grandmother was gone 😭, I still live there. It looks like they're starting to build a building, or something,on the south-west corner. I didn't see a sign that says what it's gonna be, so I guess I'll soon find out... Read moreThe Splash Pad is open at 10:30 a.m., and is a great way to cool off! We spent about an hour here today trotting through the sprinklers and play-fighting with the rotating water guns. There are about 10 different options, some low to the ground, some up high. There's one with 4 buckets about 10 feet off the ground. When they fill up, they tip over, drenching anyone below.
