Park Crescent Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center — Attraction in East Orange

What can I say…Park Crescent was part of my village that helped my sister and I take care of my grandfather Clinton Stone. That was his Caribbean family, where my grandfather can be himself and be able to speak his Patois. The love and cared for him like true family. Ms. Marshall, all the CNA, LPNs, unit clerk, housekeeping, and food service did a awesome job and again genuinely cared for him. He loved the ladies and he had a few favorite aides, he would light up to one that he named, Speedy and he was crushing on Ms. Marshall. The staff would even bring him home cooked Jamaican food. One young lady, with a beautiful short hair cut, that he joke around with and say she has a man haircut. 😂 Park Crescent staff again helped my sister and I feel at peace and less worried, because we knew he was in good and caring hands. His roommate Mr. L would give us knowledge on things that we didn’t know. His Jamaican neighbor in the next room over, would give advice on what bush tea to give him 😂. It hit my heartstrings when I met a CNA that works at Carewell in EO heard that he passed she was saddened, just as if she lost her family member. We received a call from Ms. Marshall that made my sister and I feel that we did right and the best by my grandfather. There is short staffing all over, especially in healthcare and the staff at Park Crescent worked as a team together and made things happen. I said that this place is very noisy and that They don't seam to respect the patients conditions. Most of the CNA staff seam over worked and the facility in general seams under staffed. There is a lack of professionalism given by most of the professional staff. I must add to this review. First by saying that once my complaint reached the empathetic and professional administrator Joseph Bernfeld and Social Workers Angela White and Karlene Green I received prompt and courteous attention. All of my concerns about the facility its employees and most of all my mothers care were addressed immediately. My conclusion is that the administration is sincere about there mission statement and I will surely recommend this facility to anyone in need of there services. I will...

The staff here at this facility is very nice and warm welcoming..They make you feel like you matter as a family member to them. The first impression was awesome. The receptionist I call Miss Sunshine..lol. I know that there are 2 Miss Sunshines because all day every day they answer the phone with so much life. That's the start of brightening my day. Miss Evelyn is an outstanding person. She is full of life and joy. The Manager on the second floor has been a lot of help and very kind since day one.. Miss Junielle. I thank God all of their help from the beginning of my mother's stay until the very end.
