Well it was closed at the time due to the virus, I happen to be in town so I was able to sit in my car in the parking lot while on my lunch break, it was a nice sunny day and of course the park was empty which added to the beauty and stillness. This park I knew about as a kid growing up in East Orange but spent very little time in it because I lived in a completely different part of town, but as grew older I remember seeing summer basketball leagues there and they would play under the lights, it brought back fond memories of the 1970's. And for those who enjoy seeking history this is the child hood park of the late great music legend Whitney Houston, who I'm sure spent many summer days just being a kid, while I was sitting there I wondering what part of the park did she spend most of her time in, it brought a smile to my face imagining her playing in this park. The tennis court is in excellent condition, of course there's a basketball court, well kept baseball diamond, an upgraded play area for the younger children, basically the park looks the same that it did...

There was also an area in the back with water sprinklers were kids could play in. I lived on the corner of Springdale and N. Park (house no longer there)....
