Today, Dec 25th, 2018. I did not feel like cooking and decided to look up on Google Haitian food near me and this restaurant got most reviews that were recent and great comments.
My comments are sincerely decent and honest. When I call, the young lady who answers was professional and gave me a menu. Overall, the restaurant gets 3 stars because of delays in the order plus the front area needs remodeling and cleaning. I look over the cashier area needs organizing. They need to post a sign that also says credit/ debits are accepted. Last, I would also recommend the owner change that poor coffee machine, make it more presentable for the customers.
Now, here's the food part: from a 1 to 5, the food gets a: 3 1/2. There was also a little delayed with my order. It took about 25 minutes, plus I had to drive back because they forget to give me the black gravy. Therefore a total of 30 minutes
I must say, its always good for us as a customer to give a review because it helps the business for growth opportunity and the community of customer to select from the best reviews. P.s. look at the picture of the food which it helps show my review are 100 % real. This pic has over 200,00 view your...
Read moreI would give this no stars. This restaurant is hit or miss.... more misses than hits. The lady, not sure if she's the owner, is very rude. I went into the restaurant and ordered three dinners. No one was at the window to greet. When she got to the window, still no greeting. I ordered my food, unsurprisingly it was quick this time. I paid she handed me my card, placed the food down and walked away. I wasn't sure whether I was done. Hungry, I was anxious to eat my food, but it was disgusting. The sos pwa as watery and sour. Never tasted sour sos pwa. The fish was cold. I've frequented this place a handful of times, I've had more bad experiences than good ones. I drive by this place and pretend it didn't exist. Rather go to Elza's in East Orange for good, consistent...
Read moreMy daughter recommended their Mirliton. She told me it had beef in it. I went to the restaurant. Ordered and asked for a side of fried plantain instead of rice. I did ask what kind of meat was in it and the lady DID answer in creole. She said cushon 😐. Why did I think that meant beef? Anyway. That food was ROCKIN. Until I realized it was not beef. It was too late. I ate around the meat since it was too late and side eyed the meat while I ate the fried plantains. So imma call ahead and ask for a custom order next time. I’ll pay whatever she want. To make it pork Free. It was that good. Worth paying extra for custom next time. Even if i gotta get a big order, split it up...
