Scheduled an appointment to soak off a full acrylic set (that they put and maintained). Instead, the tech attempted to remove the entire set using the nail drill and various bits (at first I thought she was just taking off the gel polish and then would soak). She tried to lift them off using another nail tip and a cuticle cutter, which I could have done at home for free. I asked NUMEROUS times to soak off the remaining acrylic, and she ignored my requests. I had to get loud with her to get the proper treatment. I side-eye their actual training - it’s common knowledge what she did destroys natural nails. She filed too deep into my natural nail with the drill bits and stabbed me under my nail with cuticle cutters trying to get the tips off. There are only two techs I’ll use when I go here - otherwise - be very cautious. If you care about your actual nail health you may want to seek services elsewhere. Yes, I could have gotten up and left but I trusted her initially as I have not had that poor of service here before. I suspect it was all about rushing to the next service vs the actual job they’re paid to do. Unsure if that is their management putting the pressure on them, or if they are just hustling for themselves. Either way, I always schedule my appointments and tip 20%+ cash and expect better from “professionals” who are trained to properly work on nails. I’m paying for a service. The manicure afterwards was terrible - I do better myself which isn’t saying much! It was a half-hearted job. I’m looking for a reputable nail salon who cares about the health of my nails if anyone has...
Read moreI have been coming to this salon for almost two years, and this past Saturday was my last visit. Tina was my nail technician, but she barely talked to me. She often acts if I am a problem for her. I come in every 2-3 weeks for a fill, and every time I visit, she talks about me in her language.I do not consider myself a difficult client; we barely talk, and I usually just get a simple fill with one color. I tip very well, typically between $15 and $20 for the service. It feels as though she only deals with me because I am a regular customer and tip generously. If it weren't for that, I don't think she would want to work with me.I find it troubling that she sits around and talks about me to the other technicians. They will all start to laugh at me then look at me every time I visit the nail salon. I don't want to bring up race, but as an African American, I feel compelled to mention it, especially since I am educated, earn a six-figure salary, and I cannot understand what the issue is. I will not be returning to this salon. It's a very...
Read moreI had the worst pedicure experience. A basic pedicure is $25 and did not include many of the features that typically come with a basic pedicure. They did NOT put anything (salts, beads, soap, etc.) in the water, use a leg/foot scrub solution, give a leg/foot massage, or apply any lotion. All of those things were extra costs. Any other place I have been to has those features included in a basic pedicure package. The scrubbing tool she used was cheap and ineffective. I still have several dry spots that look the exact same. I had an appointment, but waited for 20 minutes before even getting any water in the tub (I had to ask) and at least 20-25 additional minutes before anyone started my pedicure (40 total minutes past my appointment time). My lady was not thorough and did a poor job of shaping and painting my nails. One day later, my toenails were already chipped. I could have done a much better job in giving myself a pedicure for free. I do NOT...
