Klenow's Market — Attraction in East Tawas

2023 update: still a great place to secure bacon, Spatz bread and some premium cuts for the grill.

Having shopped there every summer growing up it has always been a go to spot anytime I'm north of Saginaw. Excellent house smoked bacon and jerky. Great smoked salmon and whitefish. Delicious sandwich spread and what better to pair it with than some Spatz bread? Quality meat selection that I'd you plan on coming up for a bit to take advantage of the mixed box. I don't live in the area year-round but Klenow's is my place all year. They are always so nice when I come in with a bunch of kids who want to pick stuff out and take forever picking out penny candy at the register. This winter I have been trying to get groceries to a needy household and Walmart couldn't help but Klenow's stepped all the way up and happily helped me shop from afar to make sure they got to the right place. I go here daily. I can get pretty much anything I need in-between large shopping trips at a grocery store. I actually leave a ton of things off my bigger shopping list cause I know if I need it, Klenows has it. I buy all my meat here.
