Iosco County Historical Museum — Attraction in East Tawas

Our classic car club, the Motor City Rockets visited the museum on September 15th as part of our fall cruise. We can't say enough good things about this museum. It's very well taken care of and very well preserved. They brought in volunteer staff and opened up on a Sunday morning just for us. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable. Diane, a volunteer, was most gracious. The data retained is exquisite. The train bell upstairs demands to be rung - please do so. The out buildings house a treasure of tools still quite useful, but old and on display - the train model and frog giggs - provided a nice mystery .... see if you can find them too. Not open during weekdays. Only open for limited hours on Saturday. My history buff daughter was disappointed. She has planned all week to visit today (thursday) but We will not be able to visit due to leaving...
