Governor Oliver Ames Estate Community Park — Attraction in Easton

17JUN2025. 2nd garden visited this year. scale=0, TOR guidebook recommends as gardens... but there isn't any we could find. as an arboretum i could score it much higher...but this year's quest is for noteworthy gardens... sensory impact=0, nice views...but it is an arboretum, not a garden variety=2, a nice collection of uncommon and exotic trees, tho many invasives. labels=2, some trees labelled summary score=1.0. N.B. this is my score as a garden destination, looks like a fine place for a walk, but that's not my focus.

My dog Sparky is very social and sees many friends when he's there. It's a great place for all ages and is the place to go sledding in the winter or cross country skiing. We knew the Ames, especially Elizabeth, and helped her when she was still residing there. I used to venture over to Langwater estate and see the Orchid greenhouses.
