I just know I reviewed this place because I love it so much but it seems to have gotten deleted and I will have to post on a more recent visit. Niko's is clean and inviting and their wait staff has always been very professional and friendly. Niko's doesn't boast the broadest menu but anyone who visits will be able to find something that will please their palate. I visited with my aunt and we both got the Mediterranean haddock with rice and greek-style green beans (reminiscent of those at the old Christo's in Brockton) and it was fantastic. I used to visit Nico's much more frequently before moving but I have had everything on their menu at one time or another and I was never disappointed. They're pound-and-a-half lamb shank is as much a Feast to the eyes as it is to the stomach. They have great Gyros and I strongly recommend the Christo Burger (lamb burgers are hard to find and this one I'll make you glad you did). The nachos -- featuring pico de greco - are plentiful and always satisfy. I have recommended Niko's to countless people and no one has ever complained in fact four of them have become regular customers on Fridays and Saturdays. They have amazing and decadent desserts but I have never had room enough to try one although my mother would often get their warm bread pudding, i believe it was - very decadent. UPDATE: I LOVE this place .. Turned a lot of people on to Niko's -- all whom LOVE the place every bit as much as 8 do. However, i have not been there in ages. I used to go to Niko's 6-7 times each month, but since they abandoned an earlier opening time and opted for a 4 PM opening, i have only been there 7 times since the 4PM opening. By the time 4PM rolls around i am well out of the area, as i have moved far enough away that traffic discourages my decision to go. I miss the lamb .. The gyros .. Moussaka .. And .. O M G!! ..my beloved once frequent go-to ChrisBurger/Greek Salad!!! ..

I wish I could have given a better rating as this was my first time trying Niko Bar & Grill. On March 23rd I decided to order a a Mezze Salad which included steak , spanakopita, hummus and pita. I ordered for pick up as it was raining and could not stay to dine in . When I got home at first glance everything looked great until I opened up the container of feta cheese. The feta cheese had spots of mold and a piece of hair in it. I immediately gave the restaurant a call and the Manager told me that they get the cheese fresh and it’s not possible . The manager offered to make me another meal but it was pouring rain and I could not get back there. So the other option was to mail me out a gift card. I was so disgusted because I already took a bite of the spanakopita and I’m sure there is feta cheese in there as well. A week later I did not recieve the gift card I called and was told that it was sent . Today is April 10th I have not recieved the gift card and at this point they can keep it . I’ve always wanted to try Nikos but after this they have lost a customer for sure. This is horrible and unacceptable

I can honestly say that everything I've ever ordered here brings back fond memories of the legendary Christos' Restaurant on the East Side. After dear old Chris was gone and his place closed down, I thought I'd never find another one anywhere near as good until I discovered this hidden jewel! The portions are generous and the servers are very polite and responsive. No snotty attitudes here.

The menu features the classic Greek favorites like oven-baked lamb shanks, various meat souvlaki plates, and of course Greek Salads. The seafood dishes are more Mediterranean-style than strictly Greek. I like how the chefs know how to do fish properly. Never overdone and dried out, but cooked just right through and through. The entrees come with a good variety of sides. I'm not a drinker anymore, but judging from the looks of all the happy folks around the bar, I'd say they know how to pour some fine cocktails.

There's a wheelchair ramp leading to the front entrance right next to several handicapped spots. The parking around the building can get a bit tight, which is normal for a place this popular. Fortunately, there's another lot just across the street big enough to handle the dinnertime crowd. My advice: go early...
