Oakes Ames Memorial Hall — Attraction in Easton

We had a Christmas Party there this year. When we arrived, there was mud all over the floor from the farmers market the day before. Then the Christmas tree that was to be provided was on another floor and we had to carry it down, and back up at the end of the night. The lights on the tree were all out and had not been checked before arrival. We had toys to give to the children, but the one person who was there threw out the bag of toys as he took out the rest of the trash (that had not been done prior to our arrival). After all of this, the management had the audacity to keep half of the deposit due to their being glitter on the floor from our crafts station, and it was considered a mess. While I agree that the glitter should be cleaned up, the floor was already a mess due to the sand and dirt from the prior day's events. All in all, bad communication, poor prep, and a lack of professionalism would stop me from planning any future events...

I was here for a wedding and although the outside looked amazing it was in July on a really hot day and the room where all the guests were in had no AC, they had 2 fans and the windows were closed for the first 2 hours of people being there then one of the staff opened 3 windows.
