Almost everyone around this quiet monument to Thomas Edison with a tower with a light bulb on top and off the side of the road assumes the museum in the tower's base is most if not all of the park. There is a bit more.
It is a short distance away from New Dover Road and Metropark. Other parks around Thomas Edison Memorial Park are mostly picnic, playground and sports type things. This is like a mini version of other, larger areas like places in nearby Clark. Like the recently closed golf course converted into park land or Echo Lake. The factual item missed, Tesla used AC current to light the word. Edison made the bulb. His stanch desire for DC current in homes started to cause his demise. His electrocution of an elephant, to show AC power's dangers, was the start of his downfall. Not much to see. Don't know what's inside that tiny building. The monument has a bulb inside with a plaque. The photo someone too.. well...

I see people find that as a slight downside in the reviews, but ay, be glad youâre able to step your foot so close to one of the greatest inventors in history. People like Steve Jobs chose to be hidden so you wonât be able to find them at all!
I wish Uber drivers were more educated on places like this. They work in the area and have no idea how to get to this place. Thatâs a review for Uber for another day though.
If I get a chance, I will come here again for DĂa de...
