We four friends visited today at Moghul Restaurant, we placed an order for paneer tikka masala, butter garlic naan, paneer naan etc. We also requested to add Chillies in the Paneer Naan. The order was placed well with the server but just after 5-10 minutes, he came back to our table saying "The chillies would cost you $2, sir." I was confused, I told him that the naan already costs $7.95 and just for only chillies I'd have to pay an $2 extra! He said, "Yes, your total for the Naan would be $9.95" I was surprised at this unnecessary cost and was disappointed. This is just very foolish that such a small change in a dish as per taste preference would cost me this much. I'm very upset with this incident and would hesitate to recommend this restaurant to the next person. It was my first visit here, we just visited this restaurant because we saw online rating of this restaurant and especially of server named Valentine - we saw plenty of good reviews and high reviews on his name. We happily sat outside and the server Valentine also met us outside by chance. We were excited to be served by him on the restaurant outdoor seating because someone told us that he worked on the outside seating. We are very happy about his service and everything and there's no complaint about it, it's just about the management that we're upset about. The management is the one to blame. About the Naan when we asked Valentine we needed to talk to manager about the extra $2, Valentine said manager only said to add the extra charges. Because of manager's decision the others working under him have to bear everything. Manager is losing the business it's very foolish to loot customers like this over small things, that too for such a small amount. When server Valentine told us manager only told us extra $2, we just refused and told not to put chillies. The manager disappointed us very much. We hope to be served by Valentine again though, the overall service was absolutely amazing, he is very polite and soft-spoken and tried to explain us calmly about the case too. Apart from the disappointment towards the restaurant and manager, I wish the best to Valentine, he...
Read moreABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT. The food is absolutely bland - Iâve clarified what I ordered below. The waiter was in training - and seemed to be in a terrible mood. The order quantity is not enough for babies to eat not to mention a 4 person family. There is a non-optional 20% gratuity with the bill - which was around $140.
My entire order: Mirchi pakoda- a $14 plate of 4 small pakodas - I make better pakodas at home whilst asleep. Papdi chaat - imagine the smallest plate you can imagine - that was what was served. The taste was great - but 2 spoons, and itâs finished. Kadai paneer - mediocre at best - nothing to rave about especially considering the inflated price Methi Malai Mutter - it was literal water and flavorless. All I could taste was suger. Dal Tadka - LITERAL GARBAGE. Half the bowl was empty and looked very unappetizing. NO FLAVOR. This is not a joke - try a spoon, and youâll think your tastebuds arenât working.
The live music was awesome, and the guy seemed cool. The atmosphere couldnât be better - minus the empty restaurant on a Sunday night - and the bathroom was flawless. I would beware of this place - especially considering Mithaas next-door where the chefs seem to taste their food before they serve it, unlike Moghul.
20% gratuity. The waiter gave me warm water, no salt, and had a frown the whole time. I wouldnât tip anything - but I was forced to. I havenât seen this disgusting technique at any other Indian restaurant. I will tip 30% if the waiter is amazing, this was atrocious at best.
Moghul, stop focusing on having the most beautiful restaurant and start focusing on understanding flavor. Desi Galaxy does 10X your business, and their restaurant looks like itâs never cleaned. People come flocking for the food. People will never return if you continue business this way. ...

They had some snacks like samosa chat and pani puri, some main dishes like harabhara kabab, dal makhni, panneer with gravy, and veg biryani, and some desserts like gajar halwa and ras malai. The desserts were the best part, as they were not too sweet. My wife, who eats meat, did not like the non-vegetarian food at all. She said the chicken and mutton were tough and tasteless, and the biryani was overly spicy. The buffet closes by 2:45 pm if you come after 2 pm, so plan accordingly. They also add a 20% gratuity to your bill regardless of your party size. We paid $136 for four people for lunch buffet. I think the a la carte menu is a better choice than the buffet, as the food is more flavorful and you can pick what you want. 1star down due to buffet.
Dinner Review: I had dinner at this Indian restaurant and I liked it a lot. The ambience was nice and cozy. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I want to thank Samiksha and Justin for their great service and making us feel comfortable. The chef did a great job with the food. We all enjoyed the taste of both the veg and non-veg dishes, even the kids. The price was a bit high for six adults and kids under five years. We paid around $275 including 20% gratuity and taxes. The portions were not very big, so we had to order more if we liked something. The parking was...
