Read moreI am writing to express my deep concerns about my recent experience at Bombay Spice II in Edison, New Jersey. Unfortunately, my visit has left me dissatisfied due to significant issues with the food quality and service at your establishment.
Firstly, it was disheartening to note that the food served appeared to be weeks old and not properly cooked. This raises serious questions about the freshness and hygiene standards maintained in the kitchen. Such practices not only compromise the reputation of Indian cuisine but also pose potential health risks to your patrons.
Equally concerning was the attitude displayed by some members of your waitstaff. The rudeness and dismissive behavior, particularly when confronted about the food quality, were both surprising and disappointing. One waiter even suggested that patrons like myself should not visit more expensive restaurants if we have concerns about the freshness of the food. This response is both unprofessional and fails to address the legitimate concerns of customers.
Furthermore, the use of cheap plastic cutlery for serving weeks-old food is unacceptable. Apart from being unappealing, it raises serious health concerns. The combination of aged, potentially rotten food and substandard utensils is a recipe for disaster, leading to issues such as food poisoning.
Regrettably, I must inform you that three of us experienced vomiting issues after consuming dinner at Bombay Spice II. This is not only a personal inconvenience but also a clear indication of the severe repercussions of serving compromised food.
Most distressing is the impact such incidents have on the perception of Indian cuisine. Establishments like Bombay Spice II play a crucial role in representing the rich culinary heritage of India, and incidents like these contribute to a negative image of Indian food, suggesting that it is of...
Read moreUpdate Nov, 2023: Reducing one star because they tried to take advantage of a large group. The quantities were reduced tremendously so we are forced to order more. For example, we just had the bhel puri the previous week when we went as a 2-person group but during the 15-person group order, the quantity was pretty much cut in half. Pretty predatory to be honest. The food quality is still very high and that is why I am only taking away 1 star. I’ll gladly give them another chance when I go as a large group but hope I don’t feel like a prey.
I recently dined at Bombay Spice and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The restaurant is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the area, if not the best. The vada pav was hands down the tastiest I have ever had in all the NJ restaurants I have eaten in. The flavors were rich, authentic and perfectly balanced.
What really stood out to me was the excellent presentation skills. Each dish was beautifully arranged and garnished, making it not only visually appealing but also appetizing. The restaurant has an excellent ambience with painstaking attention to detail. The decor is elegant and inviting, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy.
Furthermore, all the items we ordered were incredibly tasty. The menu offered a wide variety of Indian delicacies, and everything we tried was delicious. The staff was also very courteous and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, I highly recommend Bombay Spice to anyone looking for a fantastic Indian dining experience. The food, service, presentation, and ambience are all top-notch. If you're a foodie or simply appreciate good food, you must visit Bombay Spice - you won't be disappointed! I would give it a 5-star rating...
