A park than spans two sides of the road. Double trails, inner and outer loop, on the main side, and a single trail that follows parallel to the road on the other. Some plant identification placards available, some history about the logging in the area provided as well. Pay attention to your GPS map as the posted map seems a bit out of date, we got turned around, but then managed to do all of the trails as a bonus. A little bit of parking at the main double loop trailhead off the side of a fairly busy road. No trash or restroom facilities are available. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed. No bikes allowed, though we saw a couple of people riding their bikes on the trails while we were there. I would not recommend biking since it isn't permitted and the trail isn't wide. Stepping into the brush for a bicyclist to pass can be annoying. Otherwise, not bad. There is some elevation gain and drop throughput, so you'll get a bit of a workout.

I hesitate to share this spot because I love that it's so quiet and niche. But if you live in the area, want some tree therapy or have kiddos who love exploring and listening to birds this is THE place. I've figured out a perfect 1 mile loop using Strava and doing the outer trail loop first, then the inner trail loop. Make sure to hide your valuable before parking. Use Strava to help with directions while in the park. Cell service available. Combine with park across street to enjoy even more birds and lush trails! (Pictures of water are from park across street and I had to shuffle down a ravine to get to it, but worth it!)

At first glance the park looks small so you need to explore especially below Olympic View Drive which is across the street. There is a wonderful trail my dogs love that dips down towards the Sound which from time to time you can see during winter. On several visits I have seen a large Owl. Then if you have the energy cross back over the road and follow the inside and outside loop trail for a good walk.

This is a great park for walking or hiking. It is more of a nature trail park than a play on the lawn/grass or playground park. In fact, I don't think there is any of those things. The trails are mostly dirt, if I recall. There are hiking areas on both sides of the road. This could be a very short and leisurely tennis shoes hike or you could take an hour or two and your best boots. You are never that far from the parking area, but I remember it as having a lot of trail to cover. And in a place or two that trail is possibly too steep for safe hiking ... or to get back up if you get down. But that is probably more applicable to winter months. Great area, has parking, and it is close to civilization, but you could forget you are in the city...

After reading about this spots Google reviews I was mixed feelings going in. I was unsure if it would be as nice as everyone said, it was quite lovely and nature vibes galore. Side note, apparently there is a coyote in the area because someone was telling us that they had been followed by a coyote for a good chunk of their hike on the opposite side of the roads trail from parking. We had no problems on the im guessing main trail area and it was a good level overall hike with occasionally spaced out hills making it easy even for me to get a good 2 miles without even realizing it.

SMALL amount of parking though...
