I went here to get my 2 amps hooked up, soon as I got one 4 ch amp hooked up I noticed distortion on back left & right channels. The channels were cutting in and out. Mainly on the right back channel all the time. Turns out I needed an audio control box, because of too many RCAs & it was losing signal. But that was a lie talk to plenty other professionals that's hooked up three amplifiers and not needing an audio control box. Got the car back still has the same problem and on top of that now my digital dash doesn't work for my two modes normal mode and sport mode. I took my car to Rio grande tint 40 years experience the best installer hands down he's just busy all the time. He fixed my car the dash is working correctly. The audio box was installed correctly but they did a couple of things that weren't correct. they needed to add an audio relay device instead of hooking it into my fuse for my dash which was making my dash not work because of bad installation. If they were professionals they would tell you if your car can handle three amplifiers which it could not. So now my alternator is damaged due to these people & I'm still getting a strange smell even with the third amplifier tooken off which makes me think the intentionally messed with my car. Rio grande tint also said I did not need an audio control box they lied to me. They just wanted to make more money. On top of that he said that the RCAs were connected all kinds of weird ways. Right on left & left on right he said there was also some positives on negatives & negatives on positives for the wire. Now everything is working correctly on my car. He fixed all the problems that these people couldn't fix or didn't know how to because they hooked up some stuff incorrectly. Professionals should know what will work & will not work That's why they say take your car to a professional. These people were not professional. I left emails I left messages do not give two s* if they f* your car up.Go to Rio grande tint he'll get it done the correct way 100%. Found out the reason why the back channel kept cutting in & out was because of the wiring that they did. They did not use electrical tape connecting the two wires together which was touching the metal on the kick panel cutting in & out of the channel because of their installation which was done incorrectly. Not professionally work is third world country ghetto redneck bs.Audio Express. I had one fourchannel amplifier and a subwoofer amplifier playing fine for 2 and 1/2 years once I took it to these people at Audio Express. took my car to them four times and gave them one star reviews and they still didn't fix it. FYI My brother also had problems after he had his four-channel amplifier installed from these people the same thing cutting in and out so he had to rewire the whole car unbelievable these people are they blame everyone but themselves. Update I found out after adding my downpipe that was causing the weird smell The people that sold the downpipe said you do not need to tune the car but that is a lie it's causing the turbo to overspool so the weird smell was not due to these people I always tell the truth...
Read moreLet me count the ways...this will be a combined review of two visits months apart, same vehicle, different things being installed.
1st Visit -I brought EVERYTHING in that I wanted to have installed, 5 Channel AMP, crossovers, equalizer, subs, amp kit, etc. I told them how much space I wanted the custom box they were going to build it to take up in my trunk.
The vehicle had been ready for several days, but because I was out of town I couldn't pick it up and then when I did go to pick it up the box in the trunk was about twice the size I wanted it to be, I can fit a large suitcase laying on its side and a backpack and they had forgotten to hook up a connection so the vehicle wouldn't go into drive, now this is after they have had it sitting there for days and I had to come back the next day when they fixed it. Then if I turn the audio up about 1/2 way it cuts out. This isn't cheap aftermarket equipment either. They left tools and trash in the vehicle as well.
2nd Visit My left front door speaker went out so I swung by and dropped it off. They charge you $54 right off the bat before even touching it, $40 for 30 min worth of troubleshooting and almost $10 for "shop supplies" and then there is tax. How the heck are you charging me shop supplies and you haven't provided any supplies?
They called me up and said the crossovers for the components on both speakers were bad, so I told them to go ahead and replace the fronts with some components. They called me and said my vehicle was ready about 90 minutes after I dropped it off and the cost $240 on top of the $54 I already paid. So $300 to replace a set of speakers. Fine, I came the next day because after all I have to coordinate a ride to pick me up and so they pull the vehicle around and as soon as I open the door I am pissed. There is trash on the floor board (wire/clips) my old components just sitting in the passenger floor, my seats are reclined all the way back, my driver seat is moved all the way back and steering wheel all the way up and when they took off my cell phone charger/mount they pulled out the cigarette lighter piece and didn't bother putting it back in place.
Now, why would I be upset that my steering wheel was all the way up and my seat all the way back? Because, they wouldn't move forward, there was no power to my mirrors, seats, dome lights, etc. So I have to get back to work and my ride that dropped me off is long gone. There was no manager, hardly an apology, and when I said I can be back at 4:30 PM (they close at 5 on Sundays) I was told the techs leave at 4:00 come back tomorrow...WTH!
After work I did some research on what it could be, drove to Auto Zone bought some new fuses and pulled the fuse people said it probably was, and sure enough it was blown. Which means they didn't do the first rule of working on car audio...UNHOOK THE BATTERY SO YOU DON'T BLOW ANYTHING! Tons of money spent, rushed work, terrible customer...

I went back and spoke with them and every employee of the shop was apologetic and you could tell that they were not happy that something like what happened to me, had happened. These guys seem to take a lot of pride in their shop and their business. They could have easily told me to pound sand and that have been the end of it. Instead they went out of their way to do what they could to make the situation right. Sometimes things go wrong in life, the true test of character is how you respond to those times and the crew at Audio Express has shown character beyond what I could have ever expected. Thank you for redeeming my faith in your business.
I brought a dash camera and hardwire kit to be installed. Over the phone I was told that the install would be around $100-$150. When I dropped the car off the price was $260 including a $40 charge for parts (I brought all of the parts needed). When I asked the representative he said that it was just how it rings up in their system. To his credit, he was the only positive aspect of this experience. When I picked up my vehicle, both front and rear camera were mounted very low on the windshields, the front camera was canted so that the video was not level, and they had not done any set up for the cameras, not even inserting the SD card. All of that is small. What actually upset me about this was that the camera came with additional adhesive pads and a pen style voltmeter, which were not returned in the box after the install so I paid $40 in parts to give them extra stuff. The worst part of this thought was that I noticed the parking mode was not activating when I turned off the car. After trouble shooting and reading the included manual I realized that they had installed the ACC and constant power connections backwards. Essentially I paid almost $300 for them to run a few wires because I had to redo everything else.
TL:DR- Representative was very friendly and service was quick, but the price was almost double what was originally quoted, the shop kept the extra parts I had brought, install was shoddy, set-up was nonexistent, and they wired the...
