As a local, a single parent and a professional chef,i was less than pleased with the outcome of a situation where i admittedly purchased 4 sandwiches, 2 mistakenly online and 2 in the store within minutes of each other. To try to save money, i was (online) trying to take advantage of the 2 subs for $5 each and could not get the online app to accept, inadvertently, the app confirmed the order and the sandwiches were made. When contacting the store (days later), several times i was neither refunded nor given an option to rectify the issue. Several calls were made, (non returned) when finally speaking with the manager i was advised that nothing could be done as that so much money had been spent making 2 sandwiches. My total bill trying to find an inexpensive way to feed me and my daughter came to a grand total of $ 29.50... as a chef i can tell you the total cost of 2 sandwiches and labor comes between $2.87-3.94. Its sad when a local business can not politely come to an agreement over a mistake for 2 sandwiches when still making 78% profit. We will not ever be going back to the Eldridge Subway. Read morePut in an order for a baby shower 4 days in advance, they only needed 24-48 hr notice. Went to pick it up on scheduled date and time. Went there and they did not even have my order, they lost my order, it was never made. Then they proceeded to ask me am I sure I ordered it from the Eldridge location, I said yes. They asked me like 2 to 3 times and I sure I ordered it there, I was beginning then to doubt myself did I order it there or not? But yes I did order there because I had to Google their phone number and I had it on my phone. So I did not get the sandwiches I ordered. Daughter went to pick up order….told him that one of the knotted bread order…she was told they could not do that, they could not make it short on notice because they had to make it right then and there and they couldn’t do the knotted bread. So my subs looked like they were thrown together. They gave me cookies as a “we’re sorry” I didn’t need or WANT their cookies…I had 2 dz cookies from a bakery already. I’d rather they took off of my bill. I was charged $85.58. For subs that were half had ham and the other had turkey. It was like 7 foot longs…shouldn’t come to that. I will NEVER go back!!! Read moreSeeing these reviews, I'm glad to see it's just not me. Exact same issue as the previous review. Ordered online, picked it up, got home, saw that it was not what I ordered then had to drive back to get it corrected. Seems like it's always something with this location. One thing I do know is that they need to do a better job with training. On another day, similar situation. I did point out to the woman who I believe is the owner that the girl who made my sub needed some training. She stated that this person was new......that was the exact point I was trying to get through.
You need to get your act together!!! Then again, with this location failing its customers, I'm onboard with the previous reviewer. Eldridge needs a Jersey Mike's in town. They would get a ton of local business including the local Deere facility and other businesses...
