Club Metro USA — Attraction in Elizabeth

The gym itself is okay. I went when I knew there weren’t going to be an abundance of people so it was never crowded but with the limited space I can imagine that could be an issue during peak hours. The gym, in a vacuum, could get 3 stars. My issues start with signing up. They didn’t honor the trial pass from the website, that’s fine I guess. I’ve been there before so I was okay with that. I asked about a friend pass. I was told by the employee that the up charged pass allowed me to bring a a friend. I even brought a friend with me on more than one occasion. Then the third time I was told that they don’t honor a friend pass. I didn’t record her telling me I could bring a friend and I didn’t actually see the contact I signed. Lesson learned and was implemented well later on. So now I’ve been lied to and I try to cancel. Canceling was a nightmare. The manager was never in when I tried to cancel, the employees apparently don’t have access to the systems, they all of a sudden can’t really understand English. Just making it difficult. I disconnected them from my card and ABC financial tried to send me to collections. Enough was enough. I read thoroughly through my contract for the right way to cancel. I went in and recorded a video of the final, in person, conversation. They tried to lie again. I was within the notice period, they tried used a different contracts notice period. I gave them the cancellation letter, the employee didn’t want to accept it. She apparently could put me in the system but couldn’t take me out. Apparently I could pay the month off and be out of the system but if I didn’t pay she didn’t have access. I was told to wait until the manager was in which was outside of the notice period. I then went to ABC financial directly and let them know I have video evidence of all of this. When I called the gym again they easily canceled my membership over the phone. They got $100-$200 out of me but I’m just glad to be free. Retro fitness also uses ABC financial and canceling with them had none of the extra nonsense. This gym in particular did this nonsense of their own desire. I won’t tell you to not go there but I highly recommend against it. I still have the video evidence and if another lawsuit were to happen I will...

Un costo mensual donde los baño son un desorden y asquerosos, las máquinas de cardio 20 máquinas aproximadas 5 solo finsicinan, el area de spinning 20 vicicletas en una habitación de 10x10m el sonido patético, partícularme un año estuve por la necesidad de lo de cerca de mi hogar pero no vale la pena pagar tanto para tan poco servicio mejores gym hoy en día existen y con el mismo precio y hasta más económico .

I recently cancelled my account with this gym and it, took a total of 4 trips to get this accomplished. The stafff is by far the worst I have encountered, they have no knowledge of what customer service means, and their managers are just tools(useless tools) There are 3 supposedly but they somehow do not communicate with each other and whatever once says is overwritten by the next tool. I wish I had research this a little more before sigining up for a whole year. The company that collects their monthly payments somehow got a hold of my new credit card number without my permission and, the gyms response was "I don't know how that happen, here call ABC Financial and figure it out". I paid a full year and only was able to attend the gym twice, their class schedules are inconvenient very inconvenient for people that work full time, making it hard to attend, and when I could finally make it to their class, well...there was no parking because their parking lot is extremely small, and parking in the street is very difficult since the gym is close to residences. I am writing this and, well I am still trying to figure out how and who provided my financial information...
