Elmora Farmers Market — Attraction in Elizabeth

This is conveniently close and walkable location for fresh fruit and veggies right near my home. They've got great seasonally fresh produce that lasts for quite some time! (refrigerated produce we get from here goes on for almost 2 weeks before starting to turn! it's good quality stuff!) It can be a little crowded on weekends or afternoons, but if you time it right your shopping trip is really quick. I LOVE that I can get so much produce on a budget (I have filled an entire cart of fresh veggies and fruit for just $70 before! AMAZING!) Their sales make it easy to stock up on certain fruits and veggies, too. (I like to buy fresh berries when they're in season and freeze them for later months!) Sometimes the melting ice out back from a seafood delivery can make it smell a little weird, but their seafood and meat looks really, really fresh (I only come here for the produce and dry goods) Decent selection of shelf stable foods and things like tea or condiments at reasonable prices. IT's a staple in my budget-friendly shopping and I'm glad to have it nearby. Don't know why I wasn't using it the whole 5 years I've lived here, but I'm glad I've been using it...

Seafood mix bags are actually sea food imitation and it doesn't say it nowhere in the label.

Beware: the worst part is that Cashiers steal money in your face!!! 😡😡😡😡 because they have to type in the prices in the cash register the old fashion way, them they allways, and I mean it ALWAYS make mistakes and charge you between 1-10 dollars in excess.... in you realize right there, then they apologize and ask you to excuse them, if not, then you either never find out or it's too late to go back.... and I say too late because not to many people go back to the food market to claim a few dollars "mistake"...

I'm honestly writing this review because I realized they have overcharged many of my friends in the past!! We spent a whole Saturday night just telling about our experiences at this place. We really like their produce and vegetables and prices BUT please instruct your cashiers to STOP stealing to your customers with typo errors at the cashier!!! e.g. they do $7.99 instead of $1.99, $8.99 instead...

I have been shopping here for years, but today was the second time I was served with CONTEMPT! By the fat fish service area person. I selected 6 sea bass and the bowel was full so I placed it down. He picked it up and went to weigh it and I said I wasn’t done he then sung the bowel emptying the fish back into the display.. normally I spend more than $100.00 here, I didn’t have time to go elsewhere so I purchased the large blue fish only.. this is not the first time he has treated me disrespectful but it is the last time. NO PERSON SHOULD SPEND THEIR MONEY HERE…!He has done this more than once to me so I am not the only one .. Speak out if you have experienced this from...
