Extra Supermarket — Attraction in Elizabeth

I have been here a few times and it is always very clean, well organized. The prices are decent. In addition I always look for the specials. Today, they have a sale sign posted in front of coffee for $1.99 but did not honor the price at the register. They said it only applies to a smaller size. The smaller size is not displayed anywhere near the sign. This is not the customers fault. It was verified by the front of store manager. As a courtesy, having recognized error on their part, the least they could have done was honor the price as posted for the larger size it is highlighting on the shelf. That’s just customer service 101. I really hate spending money in a place that doesn’t make customer...

The supermarket is neat and clean. It is new only a few months old as of February 2019. I like the fact they have fresh seafood, deli and meat (oxtails) for cut to order. The staff is young in plain clothes unless they are cashier but helpful. This supermarket is very expensive compared to what else is available nearby and in neighboring towns. I would only stick to buying meat and perhaps produce as they don't have many sale items - and as always I have to remind you to check all expiration dates especially for manager's special...

One star is a fair rating for a place where people who handle raw and cooked food do it so while wearing their masks below their nose, hanging on one ear or on their chins. Worse thing is when they're talking on the phone while handling produce and just spreading germs all over the produce. Why would they wear masks on their chins? I understand that masks are not comfortable and I also have to wear one for hours a day, but it's a safety issue, and this place does not seem to take public...
