You can save if you buy the specials, but what's not on sale you over pay.. beware... But it has a great selection of international products...and a great selection of fresh seafood. The Bakery on a scale of 1-10 is a 6.5 on cakes and on store baked bread it's a 9. Packaged bread non premium is priced higher then other retailers and for premium breads your paying full price. . The fruit and Vegetables dept is pricey compared to others but you can find some good deals every so often. The cookie aisle for non- traditional brands (Spanish) is priced good but for traditional brands like Nabisco it's full retail and you most definitely can get a better deal elsewhere. The Deli dept is priced higher than others on premium brands but on generic brands its priced really affordable if you don't mind non premium brands. The pre packaged cheese section has a great variety of international cheeses and some are priced better then other retailers, but yet some are over priced and by alot. Finally the meat department review ... The packaged frozen meats... example: Ox tail the top layer looks like your getting a good selection but then the lower parts of the package that are concealed are basically small and worthless (paying for the end of the ox tails that are practically meat less ) , and then you have the super bulk deals that are deep frozen and the selection grade are 2nds . The butcher's area is not bad on pricing but you can get better meat quality and selections then the...

I'm Elizabeth resident and I shop over here a lot since they have opened. At the beginning of their opening their prices were very good and their product especially fruit and produce were always fresh and now some items will be not as fresh as before. Now couple thing that I have noticed at this place any product that they sell in the high volume they have increased the price on those items. And the second thing that I have noticed for many times the product that they put on a special prices for example just a story of today that I shopped here. the Popsicles they had put the special price from $5.99 to $3.99 but they charged me $5.99 for it. And the second item the original price was $5.09 but they had special for $3.99 they charge that item as well for $5.09. And couple more items that I don't want to make this list really long. It is not the first time that happened to me on the special prices discount which they list for but they charged me the full amount not a special price. Either their management on fixing and changing the discount prices are not good or they are fooling the customers with thier advertising and stealing money from customers this way. If someone catches it then...

Food bazaar is a great store if your looking for fresh well priced seafood, vegetables and fruit. Everything else is beyond expensive. You would be an absolute foul to buy your groceries feom there regularly. Example, Shoprite has a regular sale of Yurkey hill /Friendlys ice-cream 2.50$ a contwiner,4 container max....food bazaars sale was 5.99$ per container..thats not a sale, that's a gimic..fall for the for sale sign if you want. Recently I was very upset with the customer service. I found a row of pop tarts fully stocked with a sale price in it, not to my surprise I learned that the product was packed out in the wrong location..ok, but the price should be honored bc thats how it was advertised..instead the manager gives me a bunch of excuses and does not honor the price. Very bad reflection on customer service. I worked in retail for 10+ years for a far bigger retailer and if product was packed out in the wrong area with the wrong pricing in front of it ,we honored the price. I'll still go their for my seafood and such but I'd never spend my money there on...

They churn through plastic bags, often holding just one item per bag. I asked them about their recycling scheme, so they wasted my time fetching this person to translate and some other person to fetch another person, with the end result being some plastic bags I'd declined ending up in landfill. Of course, you'll only be able to get to the checkout in the first place if you figure out where to find your items in the aisles that are organised by country. No, the countries aren't even where the food actually originates; it's meant to be some sort of relation to their cuisine. If I want canned mushrooms, I have to figure out which of their favourite countries happens to enjoy mushrooms. This layout is further conflated by the existence of an "international" section, made up of items that aren't so international anyway; moreso "foreign".

If I was able to give no stars I would, DO NOT PURCHASE MEAT FROM HERE! I purchased four pork picnic shoulders, and as soon as I opened the packaging, the smell was so strong and stunk up my whole house. I tried washing it with vinegar and the smell got stronger. The meat was completely rotten. I had to throw it away ASAP before my pregnant self got sick, I do not recommend buying meat from here this was a complete waste of money, time and most of all disgusting! Hours later the smell is still lingering in my house!

Spacious, clean supermarket. Their meat and fish sections are great, always fresh. Their Asian section is pretty good. You can find a good variety of basic items like sushi rice, noodles, condiments etc. Plenty of parking space. I've never had to wait long at the checkout here. They are efficient but friendly and courteous, too. Oh and I love their rotisserie chicken!
