Twin City Supermarket - Elizabeth NJ — Attraction in Elizabeth

I shop here for all my Caribbean products. Prices are ok for vegetables and fruit but the Fruit Market in Elmora usually offers better deals. This supermarket is Definitely not a place you shop at for the customer service. The nasty attitudes seem to be supported by management, it’s the norm. Fruit and vegetable department you might get some assistance but pretty much every dept is a hangout. The bare minimum to comply with service at check out you might get a hello but if they have a bagger they will talk to that person the entire time about personal things. Any interruption by customer expect retaliation. I got an eye roll and items purposely not bagged. This has happened a couple of times so I realized the best thing to do if shopping here is a must is DO NOT ENGAGE. Same thing with the little restaurant. They want you to order and get out! they are too busy to Be friendly. The meat department is probably the friendliest and they have the dirtiest job. This is a great place to get Spanish foods with a large variety of brands not just Goya brand. They also have Spanish produce that is hard to get else where at a good price. The meat section also sells meats that are quite good and reasonably priced with selection that Hispanics like and are hard to get elsewhere.. I don't shop here often I mostly go to Stop & Shop because they have better sales and cater to the American diets. I go here mostly for the above mentioned items and stock up on them because at the large shopping center they only sell Goya products which ok but some other brands are better and have bigger selections. Also their meant market is like the old fashion butcher where they'll cut up large sections of meat for you at no additional charge, just the way you like them. And no I don't know anyone that works there , I'M only giving this place a good ratings because they have all the things I want in one stone that you'd have trouble find, if you enjoy foods that are popular in Latin...

My review used to be 5 stars, however: this store surprisingly continues to disappoint and prove to be rather a nuisance. The only reason I go here is because they pretty much have what I need, but you should check out other places if you can. In addition, on more than one occasion did I find them intentionally overcharging me, a lady once scanned my groceries twice, WILLINGLY DOING IT WHILE I WAS WATCHING. Then another time I was charged upwards of $140 in total, for food that did not look like is shared that value.
