ย ย ย Read moreI visited LAST St.Patty's Day , I felt like I was bent over the Blarney Stone. ! $ 7.00 for a Lg mug (not even a pint) ? of Guinness, Irish Car Bomb shots served in MINI shot cups , Even SMALLER than those famous Quil bottles ! For $ 8.00 no less OVERPRICED I also ordered a corned beef sandwich, That TOO was DISAPPOINTING only about 5 small pieces of meat total & No condiments offered . May NEVER GO BACK PS My total bill for 5 Guinness, 2 I.C.B.'s was $ 60.00 not including tip or food *Note to owner I was here LAST St.Patty's Day & as an part Irish person (Grandmother) , I was totally DISAPPOINTED. I believe I did see you there in the 7-8 o'clock hours , I left shortly after. First off , it took 15 mins for anyone to even notice me. So about 20 mins in , the barmaid was friendly & served my Guinness fairly quickly & I asked to run a tab . That's where the party went downhill & kept rolling like the hills of Ireland. I had a few Irish Car Bombs kind of disappointed but I guess due to COVID your establishment was limited on drink service? The Drink service was excellent over than the shots , the prices a bit high (COVID again ?) I ordered a corned beef sandwich, served on rye. My complaint here NO condiments were even placed on plate. Not Good , I've worked in the service industry. I got to ADMIT , NUGENT'S BY FAR HAS THE BIGGEST IRISH WHISKEY SELECTION I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE (58) NOTHING against You, Wife & Family & all employees too , Maybe I started to early ? 3:40 pm ? 03/17/21 Everything but food Was Great ๐ However, The food ๐ the sandwich only had 4-5 small slices of corned beef With NOTHING else ๐๐๐ , Menu SHOULD of have clearly stated sides , condiments & other pertaining to sandwich or platters MUST BE ASKED FOR at time of ordering . Even a sign of some type at register (s) would've been helpful SORRY ๐ I really felt like I was bent over the Blarney Stone & got a few kicks in my arse. Sorry ๐ I will NEVER change my review as for the experience of last year . I really hope you get on GOOGLE & fix all review s . I feel anything before COVID should be dropped like a ๐ฅ potato NEARLY TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED...
I wasn't a fan of this place in the earlier years (2014/2017) prior to me actually walking in and experiencing till my cousin gave me a tour in a sense... I got the hang of the atmosphere here with their awesome staff from Tony ( the fly guy of the night) Eric is who you'd be a lil afraid to deal with as a bartender (but has been the opposite he's a great vibe he kinda does lil tricks as he prepares your drinks) and of course Gina (Ms. Always on point she'll fix any issue you have) also Steve that's my boy (1 of the better pool players in the whole staff) when I first started coming.....Now their newer hires like Angie (the beautiful smiley girl next door) is such a great addition to the new staff there's Also D (she's a fun attentive barmaid) as well as Nicky (the Italian boss you can tell she's a boss when y'all get aquatinted) also Sacha (she's very nice moves quick she can look distracted but she's always on how can I help you mode when she senses eye contact lol) and their cooks ....man my boy Frank is a menace (he has things out in a jiffy looking like an Instagram post ) can't forget Jericho ( he's the coolest nice guy always polite and respectful ) Ahhh you have also have Luis (he's kinda misunderstood but very nice as well he can get food out ASAP too great quality staff.... And can't forget the security....they have control of the cool vibes and keep an eye out for any peeps that maybe causing a disturbance....oh man when you have DJ's here this place will take you back to the 90's and the early 2000's much respect to DJ Rome DJ Kevin and the homie DJ Berto that will cook up the newer vibe of 2008 to current music ๐ต๐ถ if you're looking for an inexpensive night with great service choices and people here's your place I love that there's no dress code and the atmosphere is so diverse that you're definitely making a friend or 2 as you come in...
ย ย ย Read moreI came on a Sunday at 745pm. I wanted to come after reading the reviews and seeing pics of the food. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. Upon walking in...the establishment smelled like a cat's litter box. It was dark, dirty and looked dingy. Despite these facts and me wanting to leave I decided to give it a try. Trying to stay open minded.
Another mistake - should have trusted my gut. Me and my guest ordered a vodka and seltzer and the special blueberry martini. You can't mess up a vodka and seltzer so the 1 * is for that only.
The martini was koolaid with a dash of vodka. The customer service is AWEFUL. Upon walking in both the male and female bartender seemed more interested in maintaining their personal conversations than serving guests.
The male bartender was dismissive and the female bartender Gina was inexperienced and it was revealed in the martini she made.
The prices of the drinks were ridiculous for Elizabeth, NJ. $13 martini and $11.50 vodka and seltzer is more than NYC and the drinks SUCKED.
I don't see why anyone gave a 4 or 5 star rating here. Not impressed at all. Maybe other nights are good but the Sunday staff needs work.
I do not recommend and...
