This parks needs more benches, a proper restroom and a more equipped playground/ sport equipment. There are very few benches and it is risky to sit on the grass because of tick season. The restroom is one of those stinky plastic portable restroom. Also most of the excercise equipment are broken or tilting dangerously when you use them with all your force.
Other than this, Kellog Park is a beautiful clean and well-maintaned park. Early in the morning or if there is an event, the local police patrol politely around the area which adds to the feeling of safety. People of all ages and ethnicities excercises, picnic and play in the park. I like hearing the approaching train whistles from the train track right next to the park, and the sight of giant airplanes taking of from Newark International Airport. This is signature of Kellog Park.
Parks and running tracks are the best public health and community investments. Kudos to the funders, staffs and the community for keeping this park...
