I've been shopping here on and off since I was a little kid (now I'm almost 38) I've lived in 9 states and 3 different countries and this is by far the best game store ever. There's just a certain magic that Games Plus has that nowhere else does. The guys that run it are just the coolest people. They have all the neat things in all the right places. They never get pushy or get weird or pester you with anything. They are always nice, have a lifetime of knowledge regarding almost any tabletop game you can think of and they absolutely almost always know their stuff (and in the extremely rare one out of 1,000 that they don't, they will do their best to find out for you) Just ask them :) They have everything you could ever want. There's always something I'm not looking for, didn't know existed, or just didn't know I needed... and I always find it here, always. Every time I have moved out of Illinois, this has been one of the places I miss the most. It's a gem. Again... There's just something magical about Games Plus. It's the kind of haven for Protagonists that Steven King would put in almost all of his novels. This is the place to find that rare old gaming book or that new set of dice, new tabletop friends, get into a new game you didn't know existed or find something unique and cool. I can promise you that there is something here for anybody and everybody. I warn you. If you start shopping here. You will become a customer for decades. It will place within you a childlike imagination, a deep love, an unexplained mysticism, a warm feeling in your soul. Games Plus is nothing short of wondrous, extraordinary and magical. Nothing but love for this store, always and forever. This is a dying breed of brick and mortar store in America and the world. Enjoy it, experience it and love it while you can. Trust me. You'll regret it if...

Although you won't find mainstream games like 'Sorry!' or 'Monopoly', this is the place to stop at if you want a vast selection of any kind of game you can think of. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming to all. Any questions you could possibly have, they either know the answer or know someone who knows the answer. They can recommend games for ages 3-104 and help you track down games or editions that you're looking for. Theres a large selection of war and ttrpg figurines along with paints, buildings, and other display pieces. The back room is great for playing games with friends or joining an adventuring party. The Bi-Annual auction is a must. Usually held in the spring and fall. The auction boasts four days of gaming collectibles, games, and all sorts of treasures brought in by others. All sorts of great finds are to be found at good prices. Best of all it supports a vibrant local business that has been cultivating a wonderful community for decades. Also they have the motherload of dice. If you're looking for any sort of dice, they're the place to go. Precious metals, class specific. Liquid core, weapon shaped, days of the week, story building, blind-bag, and anything else you can think of then they have it or can order it. Truly a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGames Plus has to be one of the proverbial unicorns of brick and mortar game shops these days, because I strongly feel like few do it better than they do. I do not know if I can give praise that has not already been mentioned, but the selection, staff, and atmosphere present here is absolutely phenomenal. I decided to drop by on a whim while visiting Schaumburg from out of state, and I was not disappointed. Tabletop RPGs, war games, euros, ameritrash, and everything in between--you name it, they've got it. They seem to stock many of the latest popular releases and no shortage of classics either (I even saw some hard to find copies of games just happily sitting there on the shelves). Last, but certainly not least, the staff were pleasant and helpful when I had questions (thank you, Tristan!). I also caught a glimpse of a fairly large gaming room in the back as I was making my purchase, which I was sorely tempted to venture into had I not had prior commitments that evening. The only negative feeling I can tie to my experience of visiting this store is LEAVING, only because I know of no game store of this caliber that is closer to home. Oh well, it can't be helped. Schaumburg is only a few hours away,...
