I've been shopping here on and off since I was a little kid (now I'm almost 38) I've lived in 9 states and 3 different countries and this is by far the best game store ever. There's just a certain magic that Games Plus has that nowhere else does. The guys that run it are just the coolest people. They have all the neat things in all the right places. They never get pushy or get weird or pester you with anything. They are always nice, have a lifetime of knowledge regarding almost any tabletop game you can think of and they absolutely almost always know their stuff (and in the extremely rare one out of 1,000 that they don't, they will do their best to find out for you) Just ask them :) They have everything you could ever want. There's always something I'm not looking for, didn't know existed, or just didn't know I needed... and I always find it here, always. Every time I have moved out of Illinois, this has been one of the places I miss the most. It's a gem. Again... There's just something magical about Games Plus. It's the kind of haven for Protagonists that Steven King would put in almost all of his novels. This is the place to find that rare old gaming book or that new set of dice, new tabletop friends, get into a new game you didn't know existed or find something unique and cool. I can promise you that there is something here for anybody and everybody. I warn you. If you start shopping here. You will become a customer for decades. It will place within you a childlike imagination, a deep love, an unexplained mysticism, a warm feeling in your soul. Games Plus is nothing short of wondrous, extraordinary and magical. Nothing but love for this store, always and forever. This is a dying breed of brick and mortar store in America and the world. Enjoy it, experience it and love it while you can. Trust me. You'll regret it if...

If you ever wanted to find a game, this is the place to find it. Although you won't find mainstream games like 'Sorry!' or 'Monopoly', this is the place to stop at if you want a vast selection of any kind of game you can think of. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming to all. Any questions you could possibly have, they either know the answer or know someone who knows the answer. They can recommend games for ages 3-104 and help you track down games or editions that you're looking for. Theres a large selection of war and ttrpg figurines along with paints, buildings, and other display pieces. The back room is great for playing games with friends or joining an adventuring party. The Bi-Annual auction is a must. Usually held in the spring and fall. The auction boasts four days of gaming collectibles, games, and all sorts of treasures brought in by others. All sorts of great finds are to be found at good prices. Best of all it supports a vibrant local business that has been cultivating a wonderful community for decades. Also they have the motherload of dice. If you're looking for any sort of dice, they're the place to go. Precious metals, class specific. Liquid core, weapon shaped, days of the week, story building, blind-bag, and anything else you can think of then they have it or can order it. Truly a...

Games Plus has to be one of the proverbial unicorns of brick and mortar game shops these days, because I strongly feel like few do it better than they do. I do not know if I can give praise that has not already been mentioned, but the selection, staff, and atmosphere present here is absolutely phenomenal. I decided to drop by on a whim while visiting Schaumburg from out of state, and I was not disappointed. Tabletop RPGs, war games, euros, ameritrash, and everything in between--you name it, they've got it. They seem to stock many of the latest popular releases and no shortage of classics either (I even saw some hard to find copies of games just happily sitting there on the shelves). Last, but certainly not least, the staff were pleasant and helpful when I had questions (thank you, Tristan!). I also caught a glimpse of a fairly large gaming room in the back as I was making my purchase, which I was sorely tempted to venture into had I not had prior commitments that evening. The only negative feeling I can tie to my experience of visiting this store is LEAVING, only because I know of no game store of this caliber that is closer to home. Oh well, it can't be helped. Schaumburg is only a few hours away,...

Review Date: October 28th, 2015 They have Games PLUS other things! Ha. Ha. Ha…. On my quest to visit all the nerdy stores in Illinois and eventually the USA, Games Plus was a pleasant stop. They sell board games, Magic: the Gathering cards, D&D supplies and many other things that I can’t recall the names of. Think of those little figures that you play a tabletop game with. It was a quick visit for me as I was heading up to Chicago for an event, but I really liked the store. The cashier was super friendly, the prices were decent and they had soooo much stuff to look at. I did see some clearance Magic cards on my way out, but I was on a budget and couldn’t get them. Magic cards are never on clearance, so it was definitely a missed opportunity. Great place if you need a board game fix or just need some supplies for your games. Sadly, I was in and out so quick that I didn’t get to snap any photos aside from the selfie seen above.

If you are looking for a classic FLGS, it doesn't get any better. When it comes to TTRPGs, you'll struggle to find a better location in the north suburbs. Old stuff and new stuff, Warhammer 40K, Osprey books, models, MTG cards. This isn't a half Price Books. He knows what his stuff is worth. That being said, he was at least a few dollars lower than the Amazon price on many books and a bunch of them you simply can't find on Amazon. I spent an hour just going through the TTRPGs. On street parking was easy on a Saturday. If you want tabletop RPGs in print and you want to lay your hands on them before you buy, you need to go. Edit: Also has a large terrain/Warhammer table room as well as TTRPG tables.

If you are a gamer, table top, 40K, or MTG player, this is one of the greatest hobby stores ever! I found this place back in July and I been a loyal customer since, they have such an amazing selection of paints, games, models, supply, etc. No more do I have to use Amazon, I get all my paints here. The staff are really cool people and very helpful for hobbyist. They also have amazing tables for 40K and other games. I love all the cool terrain they have for 40K and they have a great group of players too. I can not say enough good things about this store, if you are gamer, hobbyist, or someone looking for a gift this is the place to go.
