Response to owner: For those that are compromised or Covid-cautious, being made to enter an establishment when they have ordered for curbside pickup is an issue. I ordered from the Mt. Prospect location, downtown, across from the train station, on the date I reviewed. I do not know why you are not finding my name, payment was by credit card. The person that answered the phone when I arrived sounded male. Order consisted of an omelet, chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs with pancakes and sausage and French Toast.

Curbside is not actually an option though it is listed online along with carryout as an option. I chose 'curbside' when I ordered online. Upon arriving at restaurant and calling I was told I would have to come in. This is carryout only. I would have worn different shoes if I had known I would be walking through the puddles left by the recent snow melt. French toast was undercooked, no browning at all on one side. Awful experience! Server managed to take our drink order but didn’t bring it out. She decided to come for our food order when half our table got up to use the bathroom. Claimed drinks were coming and she’d be back for the order. Finally the “owner” brought the drinks and gave me an attitude when I said we wanted to order food (Mothers Day brunch). We’d already been seated probably 35-40 mins and still no one had taken our order. We ran out of drinks, kids finished their smoothies. No one ever came back to say anything about our food order or ask if we needed more drinks. Other tables were waited on. Husband went inside 3x to ask for more drinks. Server stated “ she had no control over the kitchen back up” when asked when our food would be coming despite the fact that other tables were being served that were seated well after us. We came here for lunch today for the first time. The atmosphere was upbeat and spacious. Michelle was our server; she was super friendly, funny, and energetic--definitely an asset to this restaurant! I ordered a hot cinnamon latte. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but this coffee was delicious--not too sweet and very flavorful. It definitely hit the spot! My son ordered the chicken avocado club and I ordered the special, the Cajun chicken sandwich. The club was good; it could have had a little more flavor. My Cajun was good; however, it was not as spicy as I thought a Cajun should be (but was still solidly good!). Both of us thought the waffle fries were excellent (no ketchup needed, gasp!), lightly crispy and yummy. We will definitely come back to try...
