I went here to get a tattoo done by Cody. My mom, aunt, and I have a quote that is dear to us and wanted to get matching tattoos. Mind you, they initially were absolutely so nice. We decided to get these tattoos very last minute before my aunt returned home, and they were the only people who would respond to us. They very kindly got us in on Cody's and their son's birthday when they 100% didn't have to. I definitely won't take away from that, but it doesn't account for the after experience. Our inspo photo shows the quote "don't forget to breathe" in a broken typewriter affect kind of font with some ink splashes in the background. When Cody did mine, he did decently well on the letters, that when he said he was going to freehand the splashes, I did not question it. When he was done and I saw what he did, I wanted to cry. The splashes looked more like polkadots and tiny bugs on my arm. I decided to let it go, thinking maybe it would look better healed. It is now almost fully healed, and it looks awful. I have tons of tattoos. I know what it takes to care for my tattoos. From proper cleaning to proper moisturization and not exposing it to sun while healing. My tattoos are a way to express my life through my skin. They tell stories. So they mean EVERYTHING to me to stay beautiful looking. Of course I will take care of my tattoo to insure they heal properly. But my tattoo healed looking like I had a toddler do my tattoo. Most of it is so awfully faded, that it looks years old. Some lines are super thick, blown out, some lines are awfully thin. Some lines are so thin, that they are almost nonexistent. Some letters are dark and then some are not. The inspo showed that the letters were black fading into gray. I was told it wouldn't fade into gray. Well, with poor tattoo application, I got the gray too, which looks terrible. I knew that Cody messed up with the splashes, because my tattoo was done first. When he did my mom's and aunt's, he did not say anything about the splashes, he just simply didn't do them. I decided to get ahold of them. They told me I could not get a touch up because it has not been long enough (4-5 weeks for touch ups, and yes it hasn't been long enough), they are too fully booked up, and they are moving at the end of the month. They couldn't do anything for me. I even sent a video of the tattoo and they agreed it needs a touch up. So I requested that I got a refund for just the deposit portion since they couldn't do anything. I was told no, because I got the tattoo and that wouldn't make sense. Sure, I suppose, but it is your artwork and business and you are not able to fix the problem. I was offered no solution to resolve the issue, but I was blamed for how the tattoo turned out. I was told, after I requested a refund, that "it honestly looks like it dried out and the ink came out." No, I'm sorry, but no. I take really good care of my tattoos because that's why I got it on my body in the first place: to look good and tell a story, a reminder for myself. In my photos, you'll see where and how it is due to poor tattoo application. I also requested a refund on cash app, and I was denied within seconds by Amber. Worth a shot, I suppose. The least that could've been done was owning up to the screw up instead of blaming it on me. Don't blame somebody of having poor after care if their body is literally riddled in tats that have ALL turned out beautiful with none of these issues. Thankfully I only paid $75 and a tip for this, but the customer service portion afterwards really just sucked. Having no solution to something done poorly and being permanently stuck with it is just disappointing. Thankfully I have a great artist who I hope can help revive it. It would've just been nice if they could've at least tried to do something, even offering the deposit back since they cannot do a touch up before they leave. The most hilarious part about this all was I was really nice and they blocked me on Instagram. That to me is incredibly unprofessional when all I wanted was a...
Read moreThis place is truly a hidden gem! I’ve gone to both Dawn and Amber/Cody. Dawn was so amazing and gentle with her piercings. I originally only went to get a vertical labret done, but after how carefully and quickly she did that one I also got my daith pierced. I will always go back to Dawn for any future piercings I want. My experience with Amber and Cody was truly top tier. I’ve gotten tattoos in the past but none as pleasant and theirs. Amber was so helpful and considerate about what I wanted. She spent so much time talking with me and making sure I absolutely loved the design and was confident in them. Always asking if there’s any part of it I want to change, or modify. She’s truly brilliant when it comes to hearing what I wanted and making it a work of art! Cody was the one that did the actual tattooing, and he was amazing. He made sure I absolutely loved the stencil placement and was so patient when I wanted it moved or adjusted. He took extra care to make sure I was comfortable before we started and made sure I knew if I ever needed a break or something didn’t feel right we could stop. He was such a gentleman and always made sure to tell me what he was going to do before he did it. In the end I am absolutely in love with my new tattoo! The atmosphere in both studios is wonderful, and I will be going back many times in the future! I 1000% recommend this place to anyone who wants any piercings and/or tattoos! (Not to mention the prices are some of the best, if not the...
Read moreDidn't realize this was a mother-daughter business, loved it. When you go up the stairs the door to the left is the daughter's tattoo studio and to the right is the mother's studio. I had accidentally walked into the tattooing half lol. Dawn was super nice and inviting. She answered all my questions with her wealth of knowledge. Her assortment of jewelry options was phenomenal! I got even more excited to get my septum pierced after I saw the one for me. I questioned Dawn about getting that one & she kindly offered to take it out & put it up to my nose to see if it'd be a fit with my medusa and low and behold it was perfect! The piercing itself was done quickly. I was embarrassed from tearing up from the pain, but Dawn just wiped away my tears and blood away. The pain honestly felt like I had all my nose hairs waxed. I bled quite a bit, but that was short lived. She gave me an aftercare sheet & let me know that making my own salt water & spraying it 2x a day was the way to go. She also had some saline for purchase. I really appreciated that detail since I was told differently at another shop & I didn't do my own research. In the end, I couldn't be happier with...
