Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Rainbow City

Like many other places in the area, once the day manager goes home, this place turns into a disaster. Went to the drive-thru to get my wife some dinner. The lady came on the speaker and asked for my order. I started giving it to her. I asked her a question about something on the menu and I heard her talking. I realized that she was not talking to me, but taking orders from people inside. I asked her my question a few more times and she was still talking to others inside. Finally, she just comes back on and gives me my total, $14.07.

I get to the window, and she starts reading an order to me that is nowhere near what I ordered. I stopped her and told her what I ordered. She said she never heard me order that and I must not have yelled loud enough. She said you have to scream at the speaker or they can't hear, (something she never told me when I pulled up) and if she can't hear, that's not her problem, she's just going to go on to doing other things and taking other people's orders inside.

So I gave her the correct order at the window (which I still had to yell at her for her to hear it) and she read it back to me exactly as I gave it to her. The total she gave me was exactly the same total she gave me in the drive thru speaker before she told me she never got my order because I didn't scream loud enough, $14.07. 15 minutes later, she hands me the order without saying a word and slams the window closed. We look in the bag and she gave us the wrong side. I looked at the receipt and it had the wrong side listed on it. She read us back the correct side while taking the order, and somehow still managed to ring up the incorrect side.

On top of all that, the food was cold and hard, barely edible. Almost $15 for a few little chicken tenders that were more breading than chicken, cold, hard fries and a drink so packed full of ice there was barely 3 sips in it.

Save your money and go somewhere else. This place, along with many other places in the area that used to be decent for a quick, reasonably priced lunch or dinner, have just absolutely gone down the toilet in...

Let me start by saying Popeyes chicken is awesome! I have been going to this Popeyes location since I was a kid. It was always amazing food and great service. Today, however, my family went through the drive thru to order. The woman taking our order was so rude. She acted like we were bothering her by ordering. We asked for the 12 wings for 12 dollars special. She said that is not a combo. My wife said that is fine just the 12 for 12 deal then. We pulled up to the window and she had charged us for a 12 wings combo which before did not "exist" earlier. My wife asked if she charged us for the combo. No answer, just walked off and came back with a new total. No apology at all for her mistake. We had to pull up twice because they were getting so behind two cars had to pull up in front of the drive thru window. Funny thing is when I got home to open up my 12 wings pack, it only contained 10 wings. Wow! I have looked at the reviews and several customers have said the same thing about how rude the employees are. The owner apologizes for them, but obviously doesn't make the changes necessary to improve it. I will never return to this location again! Which is sad because I have gone there for my whole life. My fiancé went to get Popeyes for us after putting in a mobile order. They proceeded to serve two other people after pulling her up which is fine, but then they gave her the order wrong. It didn't have sauce on the side as specificized and she went back in to ask for it to be fixed. The manager then stated they don't have any ready and rolled his eyes after she asked him to fix it and he told the guy in the back to drop more in the fryer. She then said as the food was already cold when she got it that she needed to get home quickly and wouldn't be able to wait the six minutes he said it would take. She then asked for something of equal value at least to take home that was ready, and he said she was complaining and yelled at her in public stating that he had already given her free food what more could she want. She then cried all the way home. We are very unhappy with this visit at store #2382 and Manager named DJ was very unhelpful in resolving this issue to the point where we will not come back if we see him again. Terrible customer service skills, terrible attitude, bad order fulfillment. Would not eat here again, I would literally drive across town to go to a different popeyes...
