Empire is one of my favorite towns on the Lake Michigan coastline. Quaint, sleepy, and friendly are three words that come to mind when I think of this beautiful hamlet.

The location in Empire,NC is super easy to get to from Traverse City. I highly recommend the drive from Traverse City, MI.
The water is a brilliant aqua color and the beach was clean and had a good amount of parking.
This is a smaller building bigger than a memorial but not the real size of a lighthouse just FYI.
