I am giving a rating of 2 stars because the studio and staff were nice, I would give 0 stars to the owner. As I mentioned, the studio was nice and the options for painting pottery were plentiful. The young ladies that worked there were kind, welcoming, and patient. Unfortunately, Wendy, the owner does not demonstrate what she expects from her team. She was rude when my sixteen year old daughter and her two friends (and I) walked in a couple of weeks ago. She asked how many were painting and when we told her 3 she said I count 4. I was the parent/chaperone, I explained, and the girls were going to paint. She then asked if I would be paying for them and I explained they would take care of themselves, mind you, payment occurs at the end. Before walking away to setup she asked if they had my number so they could let me know when they were done, very dismissive. Two other customers walked up to me when she walked away and said her interaction with me was rude and that she was rude to them because she felt they didnât buy enough pieces. I stayed with the girls until they were set and asked them not to deal with Wendy to avoid conflict, they worked with one of the young ladies instead. I believe she picked up on the tension she created and tried to come around, too little too late. First impressions matter and hers was a bad one. I did not want to ruin my daughterâs friendâs birthday celebration by making a scene but, unfortunately, Wendy has given us a story when we think about that day. We would have walked right out if it were just me and my daughter, YOUR business depends on YOUR customers. We will not return, we will go back to Pottery Piazza where all are welcome and customers are...
Read moreIm really upset because my aunt paid for her and my daughter to have a fun day doing potteryfor her birthday present. The same day, hours before the scheduled time for them to go my daughter came down with 102.5 fever and couldn't go. I understand they prepare things for the customer to go but they wouldn't refund the money or even just switch the dates for us. So we paid all that money for absolutely nothing. Afterwards I called again and the manager on duty was nice enough to refund half the money and I appreciate it. But im upset that my aunt lost that money she spent for my daughter's birthday gift. My aunt goes there all the time and this isn't the first bad experience I had with them. They once tried charging my family to pay for just standing in the building and not even partaking in the pottery. Im highly disappointed and won't be going...
Read moreI was recently at Tipsy Paint Brush for the first time and was extremely impressed by the services they have to offer. They also have another name call Kilnâ It Pottery where you can paint ceramics or take pottery classes. I was there for a painting class. My instructor that night was Yaritza. She was fabulous. Very personable, friendly and funny. Her instructions were easy to follow and turned this novice painter into a Picasso in no time at all! LOL I had a blast and canât wait to return in a few weeks to try again. Thank...
