Pizza Palace — Restaurant in Enfield

The food was decent, but they made the wrong sandwich Three times. The first time before leaving, we noticed on the wrapper was labeled “tuna” when we ordered turkey, and they admitted they made the wrong one because “the buttons are right next to each other”….. honest mistake we thought, no big deal- and they remade it. Then we get home and discover they kept the new remade correct turkey sandwich and sent us home with THE WRONG TUNA ONE ANYWAY…. Instead of them tossing it immediately… which confused us. So had to drive all the way back there- finally picked up correct food, and discover it had tomatoes on it—even though we specifically asked for no tomatoes… You might think a request of “no tomatoes” is simple and that people are just being fussy and annoying- I have medical conditions that prevent me from eating things with seeds- so it was annoying to have to take all the tomatoes off, and rip apart/search the whole sandwich for loose seeds. Not a great experience. They didn’t really apologize after the second mistake, and we called to let them know it was still wrong- they didn’t apologize then either. So even though their pizza is decent, we won’t be giving our business to this place. OK, I don't eat commercial bread, which means for the past year, I don't eat commercial pizza. But, on the way home from errands, after a long drive home from Jamestown, I folded and suggested Pizza Palace in Enfield, hoping I wouldn't gain the usual two pounds from my moment of weakness. Wow! This place is great. It is way more than a pizza place. This is a full-on Italian restaurant with many menu choices from eggplant parm to lasagne, to salads to...well, we were there for the pizza. We decided to build our own pizza with 4 ingredients: pineapple, bacon, onion (grilled) and artichoke. Even our server remarked how good it looked--and it did. The amazing surprise was how goood it tasted. The kitchen accomodated us with a thinner crust, grilled onions, and they also crisped the bacon. This place really aims to please. We so enjoyed our meal, and only could eat half of the large, which left one lunch portiona and another dinner to be kept in...

It is either hit or miss with this place. When it’s good it’s GREAT!!! Best pizza in Enfield actually,when it’s done RIGHT!! Every other order is a miss unfortunately though!! Food is very often over cooked and staff get a little testy when I ask them to not fry my fries too hard, or to not overcook my pizza even though I’m asking due to experience. Very pricey as well but worth every penny when they DO IT RIGHT!! Pizza tonight was way overcooked and barely palatable, I was a little embarrassed as I treated my neighbors to dinner and felt bad giving them that pizza once I looked at mine!! $70 for two pizzas and 10 wings and I could barely stomach to get it down,the pizza was so dry and just hard!!
