We were really excited to see the last surviving land office; there is also an indoor museum which was very interesting to browse as well. We were surprised, however that we weren't able to be left in peace to see the historic outdoor buildings; instead there were tour guides at each one that absolutely forced you to endure their verbal script. Outside, visitors can explore several historical buildings, including a school, a chapel, a land office, and a 1905 homestead. Walking through these houses feels like stepping back in time, making the experience both engaging and...
Read moreVERY RECOMMENDED IF PASSING THROUGH ENID. We’ve been to this museum several times since moving to the area, and I would go again. It’s set up in a logical sequence, explaining the Land Run and giving interesting historical facts about the area. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and provided us with a very fun and interactive experience. Getting to tour the older buildings on the property was informative and interesting. We always take our visiting family and friends, as it helps them learn about Enid and Oklahoma history. The gift shop also has a good souvenir variety. Look forward to...
