10+ nights stay here and it has been terrible •can’t sleep at night due to the A/C unit constantly making weird sounds •they were doing construction above whole eating breakfast constant banging and pound bodies •some of the staff is confrontational and not accommodating to their guests needs. They want to argue about little things • the owner is like his staff argumentative •NOT Locally owned he is from Colorado •water pressure in showers is all but a trickle
I travel constantly for my work and stay at hotels weekly. My line of work requires me to get the State of Oklahoma Tax exempt state room rate. This hotel had honored it in my previous stays. I booked 3 rooms for a 4night stay myself and fellow employees. When I noticed they had charged us $125 dollars and taxes instead of the state approved $96 I politely asked them to refund me for the agreed upon $96. The owner HIMSELF decided to argue with and tell me I wasn’t exempt from the taxes and would have to pay them. I explained that if he would want to do that he would have to deal with someone at the state level. He insisted that the taxes and room rates would have to be charged at the higher rate. But eventually decided he would be gracious enough to charge us the $96 “this time” when I told him we had already booked 4more nights the following week. He then gave some sob story about friends and family and everyone using the discounted rate. To which, AGAIN, I told him who I work for why myself and other employees were staying in the hotel for nights on end. I had already provided him/the hotel with all the employment and tax exempt information for every employee on previous stays, and yet he still wanted to argue. Some of his staff has apparently taken some customer service class from him because they are just about as accommodating. My staff and I WILL BE TAKING OUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE in Enid. This hotel has made +$3,000 just on my staff staying there in the previous weeks. And they have been pretty vacant with the exception of a few construction workers staying there. If this is how they want to treat their guests then I will not be giving them...
Read moreI generally like Best Westerns a lot (I'm a Gold Rewards member) but this was the worst hotel experience I've had in years. The decor was cool and I liked the room, but in the middle of the night the smoke detector started beeping and got worse and worse. I finally called the front desk and an employee told me they had no batteries and to just try to get some sleep. Suffice to say, I got zero sleep as the beeping was extremely loud. I told the very nice receptionist the following morning what had happened and she said she would pass on my information to management to see about a refund, and to expect a call. I didn't hear from anyone. I called the hotel a couple days later and another nice employee said she wasn't sure why my case hadn't been resolved and to expect a call. I never heard back. Finally, the next week I managed to contact a manager at the hotel. He was the most disrespectful man I've talked to in a long time. He said a refund of any kind was impossible and repeatedly blamed me for not being more pushy with the front desk the night I stayed there. He also told me they had recently fired two employees, as if that in any way resolved my case or would make me happy (it certainly wouldn't). He also lied repeatedly, saying that they must have had batteries that night and that the hotel never has any maintenance issues (the employees had confided in me that they've had non-stop maintenance issues since the hotel opened earlier this year, and there was active maintenance going on while I was there). In the end, he refunded $25 to my credit card, which was precisely what he had said he couldn't do at the very beginning. I feel bad for this hotel's employees; this is the worst managed hotel I've ever stayed at, and I'll never give them my business again. I am excited to try the Glo brand in a different location at some point and think the overall idea from Best Western is a good one. But stay at this particular hotel at...
Read moreIf I could rate this a zero I would! The man up front has been beyond rude and condescending to me. You can also tell the young girl working the front is terrified of him. He was dismissive of my concerns and refused to refund me. He wouldn’t stop talking over me and ignored everything I have said. We checked in and left within 1 hour due to the filthy room, Stained walls, unsafe location and people hassling my significant other for money and phone chargers within the first 30 mins while he was trying to unload the car. This hotel looks ok in photos but it is clearly cheaply thrown together and mismanaged.
Also I called twice before check in to ensure we would have a room on the first floor, this was supposedly reserved for us and upon checkin I was told by the rude employee all of housekeeping left for some reason and they no longer had the room. The stairs are unsafe and located outside the building for entry and exit.
We felt unsafe, disrespected and truly disgusted by this terrible experience. This is not a safe place especially when you have children or a child like we do. We did not want him anywhere near here.
I would not suggest anyone stay here. It’s not at all how it looks on photos. This place was terrible.
I have since followed up requesting a refund AGAIN and to speak with the “owner” Puovish who is clearly an evasive or made up person. I have been given an incorrect email address for him, been told he’s downtown, told he had to run to Colorado for a few hours and told he lives in Colorado. But the man up front said if I call Monday I could speak with him.
What a...
