Coal Creek Disc Golf Course — Attraction in Erie

Conditions update: the canal is running high, and it's deep enough to hide discs or push them downcanal, so be aware, like on #1 with an aggressive putt, #5 with a fade/hyzer, #10 on an aggressive putt, #11 on a turnover, #14, 15, 16 on fades on putts....

This is a nice, intermediate course with good signage, some short par 4s, some elevation changes, limited trees, good flow, and us par 58. The parking can get full. There are some holes early on where folks do lose a disc or two. There are penalty areas around the canal. The longest hole is only 409'. The shortest is 175'. Awesome new course!! Was hesitant to play as it looks like a giant field of boring. Far from it!! Very well designed layout uses rolling hills, the few tres, and some water ways to make a very playable experience. Concrete pads are perfect and baskets are all nice and new. Really fun course with lots of elevation changes. The course has great tee pads and baskets. This course is really right jand back hand friendly though. Lots of hyzer shots. One thing to keep an eye out for is if the course is cleaned up. This course similar to some other courses in the area can really get overgrown which makes it horrible to play.
